weeks in the estate belonging to the Ubuyashiki family, (y/n) has started to get used to their new life which is either temporary or forever.

(Y/n) is currently enjoying tea in the morning with Kagaya and some of his children. They seem to be talking about demons and the corps, (y/n) needs to know a lot about these things and about these creatures to survive.

But there is one thing that (y/n) wants to ask Kagaya, which is about whether they can go out for an adventure outside the estate. Since Kagaya knew about what (y/n) could do, Kagaya was a little hesitant to let them go outside of the estate. He's afraid that the demons would find out about their whereabouts and try to do something to them. Since then, (y/n) has to stay indoors and learn more about demons and others. But not this time, they wanted to go out just once to see how the world in the year around 1912 works.

So, right now they were trying to build up the courage to ask the question that kept lingering in their mind. (Y/n) was ready to ask questions that were on their mind continuously. However, before they could ask, Kagaya had asked them first. ❝ I know you've got something on your mind, child. Come on, please do tell me what's on your mind. ❞ Kagaya smiled and waited for an answer from (y/n).

❝ shake... ❞ (Y/n) started asking about the question as best they could and prayed that Kagaya would understand what they were talking about. In the end, they wrote on the paper again and showed Kiriya the paper asking for his help to read what they wrote to Kagaya.

When he heard what (y/n) wanted to ask, the smile on Kagaya's face remains. Honestly, (y/n) has great respect for Kagaya. He made them feel like their at home and acted as their real father.

Kagaya suddenly patted (y/n)'s head and laughed softly. (Y/n) was confused, what did Kagaya mean? Why is he laughing?

Kagaya stroked (y/n)'s head while still smiling and finally answered, ❝ Of course you can, do you think I won't let you out of the estate? ❞ (Y/n) froze slightly at Kagaya's answer, but immediately corrected their posture and shyly replied, ❝ okaka... ❞ Kagaya smiled at (y/n)'s cuteness.

❝ Are you okay with having a crow watching over you so you don't go in the wrong direction and so that if you get hurt the crow can tell us or someone nearby? ❞ Thinking again, what Kagaya said was right. They weren't familiar with the directions here at all. ❝ Shake. ❞ (Y/n) answered and nodded to Kagaya even though they knew Kagaya couldn't see them nodding their head.

❝ Good, later I will ask them to get a crow for you, as well as I will give the crow to you as a gift. ❞ (Y/n) wondered what Kagaya meant. A crow can be a gift for someone in the Taisho era? Although confused, (y/n) still made a sound - like humming - as a sign of gratitude to Kagaya.
