"Wakatoshi!" I scream from my room, cupping my hands around my mouth, grabbing my backpack and checking the mirror.
I hear him groan in annoyance before answering, "What?"
I rolled my eyes, "Wheres my Mikasa? Did you take it again?" I shouted, he had taken my ball before a couple times prior whenever he lost his.
"It's in the kitchen!" I groaned, rubbing my palm over my face. I grabbed my last minute things for school, going downstairs.
I grabbed my ball, rushing to the door. "I'm going to school! Ushi, you're picking me up, right?" I stood there for a moment, halfway through the door. He came out of the kitchen with a piece of toast in his mouth, nodding. I then got out the door, lightly jogging while checking the time. "Shit I'm gonna late.." I muttered to myself, my long blonde hair bouncing slightly. I grunted in annoyance as I grabbed a rubber band from my wrist and holding it with my teeth, messily tying my hair into a ponytail, some strands falling, framing my heart-shaped face.
I basically ran into the classroom, my icy blue eyes scanning the room.
"Miss.." the teacher started, looking down at his clipboard, "Ushijima? You're late."
I lightly rolled my eyes, though not enough for him to notice. Instead, giving a small smile, "Sorry sir, I had trouble finding my class." I lied, knowing I'd get away with it, considering it was my first day.
He let out an exhausted sigh, "Fine, why don't you introduce yourself to the class?"
I nodded, walking directly in front of the board, bowing politely. "Hello, my name is Asahina Ushijima, nice to meet you, I hope we can be great friends." My attention immediately went to a boy, he had back hair, with a streak of almost blonde hair in the middle, he was staring at me, a little more intently than the other students. I noticed there was an empty seat next to his. I smirked, making my way to the seat.
Immediately as I sat down, he turned to my direction, "Hi, Ushijima, right? I'm Nishinoya, my friends call me Noya though."
I took in his features since I was up close. His brown eyes held determination that I could stare at forever, its as if they were pulling me in.
"Yeah, do you know where the gymnasium for the Karasuno volleyball team is?" I asked, and his eyes lit up.
"Volleyball? Oh yeah, I'm on the boy's team, what position do you play-" he paused for a second, his eyes widened, "wait are you related to Wakatoshi Ushijima? Like, the Wakatoshi Ushijima?"
I rolled my eyes, giving a sigh, "That's my older brother, and I play opposite hitter, same as Toshi."
"Woah..." Noya looked like he was in awe.
"What do you play?" I asked, and I couldn't tell for sure, but he looked of smaller stature, probably around my height, which was five-four.
"Libero-" we got cut off by the teacher.
"Oi! Pay attention," he scolded, "damn kids..." he muttered as he turned around to write more things on the board. Noya glanced at me as he gave a sheepish smile, which I thought was adorable. I tried not to smile, but it didn't work, I couldn't help but smile a bit as I looked down at my desk, fiddling with my hair. I suddenly shook my head, why was I reacting like a peppy schoolgirl? I never, did that, like, ever. Throughout the class, I could feel Noya's gaze on me, which made me nervous, though I wouldn't be able to tell you why, because I didn't know either.
After classes were finished, I had the chance to go to one of the gyms. Gymnasium one, to be more specific, where the girl's volleyball club was. I kept walking around, still unfamiliar with the campus. Eventually, I saw the gyms, which were next to each other, I walked toward one of them since I couldn't see the signs from afar. When I got closer I noticed two figures sitting outside of the gym.
"Kageyama?" I asked, I was now right behind him, his usual annoyed facial features plastered onto his face. But they went away once he noticed me, looking shocked.
"Ushijima? What are you doing here?" he asked, the boy beside him looked confused, he had bright orange hair and was seemingly slightly shorter than I was.
"Me? I should be asking you that, I thought you were going to Shiratorizawa with my brother?" I inquired, I had met Kageyama from his volleyball tournament I watched the year prior when I attended to Shiratorizawa. We had become closer over the past year, sometimes seeing each other either in random places or over text.
"I didn't get accepted..." he muttered, looking to the side with a pout. I laughed a bit and he shot me a glare.
"Hey, hey, I'm not judging," I lifted my hands in defense. And then the orange-haired boy cut into the conversation.
"Wait, so who are you?"
I looked over to him, giving him a smile, "I'm Asahina Ushijima."
