Alessia's POV:

It had been a week since I joined the cafe and I was successfully stuck in a routine now.
I wake up by seven and help Kelly with the breakfast- or should I say, I make breakfast all alone while she chews my ear off. Kelly works in a fashion designing company called Bella. She loves her job and religiously goes to work every day at 9 AM.
I was yet to hear back from my interviews so I asked Mrs. Wilson if I could take on another shift and she happily agreed. Because of this, I found myself occupied after 2 PM in the cafe. I clock out at around 4 PM, go back to my apartment- and then try and kill time or I'd stay back at the cafe and spend time reading books.
I get back to the cafe by around 6 PM and stay till the closing hours at 9 PM. Sometimes Kelly picks me up on her way back from work and we usually go grab a bite out.

"I'm going to get home sweetie, will you be okay?" Mrs. Wilson asks me as I put the cash in the cash register.

The cafe wasn't very crowded, so there were very few baristas- most of them not having as much experience as me.

"I'll be fine," I smile at her.

"If I don't come back, just lock the cafe and keep the keys," She says and makes her way out the cafe.

My heart warms and I smile as I realize that she trusts me a lot.

I stretch my arms feeling cramped and look at the time, 7 PM.

"Hey Lia, you look tired." Rose, my co-worker, appears from the kitchen.
Her brunette hair is tied to a bun with a few strands making their way in front of her baby green eyes. Her slim petite figure was clad in the uniform, all the baristas wore- a black legging with a white shirt and a small grey apron.

"I am so tired." I groan.

"Want me to make you some special coffee?" She grins. Rose always adds a random ingredient in her 'special' coffee- so far, whatever she has put in it tasted good.

I shrug, "Sure,"

"I'll be back in a jiffy!"

I hear the bell chime just as she goes back and I look up at my customer with a faux smile on my face, "Hello, welcome to The Bibliophile Cafe, what would you-"

"Hey! Alessia?" Jack grins, his grey eyes sparkling.

"Jack, hey. What brings you here?" I ask taking in his appearance- he wore a suit, only this time it was a blue one.

"Nicholas," He groans.

I chuckle, "Okay, what can I get for him?"

"He needs a Vienna with extra shots of espresso. And get me a cappuccino with two of your lemon bread,"

"Okay, that'll be $15," I say. "I'll be with you in a few minutes."

Jack nods his head and I go to the back- to the kitchen.

"Hey, Luke!" I call out to my fellow barista who was scrolling through his phone sitting on the counter.

He looks up his blonde hair falling over his black eyes, "Yeah?"

"Could you make a Vienna with two extra shots of espresso and a Cappuccino asap. Its a parcel."

"On it," He jumps from the counter, slipping his phone in his pocket.

I walk out to the front and wear a pair of paper gloves before bending down to pack the lemon bread.

I hear flirtatious giggles coming from the cafe as I pack the baked goods in a bag.
