Chapter 1

                                    

    Third person POV 

Tony was falling, and fast but he was not conscience or slowing down. Suddenly Hulk came out of nowhere and caught Tony, landing with Tony in his arms on the ground by a smashed car. Everyone ran to see if Tony was ok. Everyone crowded around Tony waiting for him to move or make a sound. Thor ripped off Tony's mask and checked for breath. Tony lay still, everyone thinking he was dead. Suddenly the Hulked roared very loudly and Tony's eyes flew open and he sucked in a deep breath. "What the... What just happened. Please tell me nobody kissed me." Tony said looking around wild eyed. "We won." Steve said looking relieved. "Alright, yeah. Good job guys, lets just not come in tomorrow. Lets just take a day, you ever tried shawarma? There's a shawarma joint about two blocks from here. I don't know what it is but I want to try it." Tony said weakly. "We are not finished yet." Thor said looking around. "And then shawarma after." Tony stated. Everyone got up and walked back to Stark tower not realizing that Jennifer wasn't with them. They got to the tower and went to where they had left Loki, "If it's all the same to you, I'll have that drink now." Loki stated sitting up. Steve looked around looking for Jennifer so he could congratulate her but he couldn't find her. "Hey has anyone seen Jennifer?" Steve asked looking very confused. Just then Eric Selvig came in holding an unconscious Jennifer in his arms. "Help, please. She screamed out in pain and then collapsed." Eric said walking into the room. "Oh my god. When did this happen." Steve asked taking Jennifer from Eric and bringing her to a couch and laying her down. "It happened right when Tony fell from the sky." Eric told them looking ashamed. "I wasn't watching her so that's all I know." He stated and dropped his head. "It's okay it's not your fault." Natasha told him walking over to him. Clint looked very angry and lunged at Loki. "WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER!!!" He shouted at Loki landing a punch before Natasha and Steve were able to pull him off. "I did not touch the girl you imbecile!" Loki yelled rubbing his cheek where Clint had punched him. "He is correct. This was not done by magic. In fact, I have no idea what happened." Thor said looking very sad. Everyone stood around Jennifer hoping that she would wake up but she didn't. She just laid on the partially burnt couch not moving and barely breathing but breathing none the less. Natasha stepped aside and called Fury to tell him what happened. He showed up a few minutes later in a helicopter to pick them up. On the way back to the Helicarrier Natasha, Clint, now Bruce instead of the Hulk, and Thor tried to explain what happened. Steve and Eric were watching Jennifer, waiting for her to wake up but she still didn't. When they finally arrived Steve handed Jennifer to the doctors who were waiting to take her to the medical wing. Steve went along with them and tried to explain to the doctors what had happened. The doctors put Jennifer on a bed and began running tests and checking her vital signs. The doctor told Steve he had to leave and that Fury would want to see him before shutting the door to her room. Steve walked around sadly, praying to god that Jennifer would be okay. He suddenly got a call that yanked him out of his thoughts, "Steve, Fury needs all of us in the meeting room ASAP." Natasha told him over the phone. "Alright I'll be right down." Steve replied sadly and walked to the meeting room. When he got there everyone else was there accept Fury. He took a seat next to Natasha who was trying to keep Clint from killing somebody. After a few moments Fury walked in, "Hello everyone. Thank you for showing up without any casualties." Fury said. "Why are we here?" Bruce asked, his expression was sad but also kind of angry as if he already had a suspect in his head. "I called you here because there is something that you all should know." Fury said. "Oh, and what would that be?" Tony asked. "You need to know why this is happening to Jennifer." Fury stated causing everyone to sit forward.
