The small town looked weird compared to Dublin. No crazy traffic. No crazy big buildings. And no crazy people walking the streets. It was different in a way that is was good. It was peaceful. It seemed like a pleasant neighborhood. My mum always told me that all good things come to an end. I never understood why though, cause if they were that good, why would you want them to end.
We pulled into the driveway of our new house. I obviously didn't want to leave my old home, but my parents said we had to. My dad had a job that was super inmportant, and that he needed to move so that it would be easier for him. I haven't started school yet, and my only friend back in Dublin was Claire, my neighbor. She was sometimes mean to me, so I didn't always like to play with her.
"Where here," dad shouted.
I looked at the house and it was big. Not as big as the one back in Dublin, but it was still big. It looked old though, it was light green and had lots of trees around it. It looked like an older house but it was super pretty.
When dad parked the car I quickly got out to get a better view of the house. I think I like it better than the one we had, cause the other one was brown and it was super big. I like that it's small cause than it's just like me then.
The bug truck that followed us all the way here parked as well, and my parents and the movers instantly started unloading all our stuff into the new home.
I quickly ran inside and looked to see were my room was gonna be. I wanted a room upstairs, so I quickly ran up to see all the rooms.
There were three rooms upstairs and I ran down the hall all the way to the last door and opened the door quickly. When I opened it the first thing I saw was a huge window, I quickly ran over to it and looked out to the back yard. The back yard was huge and also had a pool. Dad and mum never told me we were gonna have a pool! I was super excited now because I loved this house.
After admiring the backyard I searched my room. I noticed a smaller window in the corner of my room. I went to look out it but all I saw was a huge tree branch. I opened it and stuck my head out looking down to see a huge tree beneath.
"Wow," I said to myself looking how far down it was.
I was scared of being up to high because I always am scared of falling and getting hurt, so I'd rather just not climb or go to high.
I heard my mom call my name from downstairs, so I quickly ran as fast as I could and met her at the bottom of the stairs.
"Yes mum," I said with a huge grin on my face.
"Well I think someone likes the new house," she said while poking my cheek. "Now help us carry all your stuff upstairs to your room."
"I already know where my room is gonna be," I said running back upstairs to show her.
She instead of running like me walked up the stairs and down the hall to see my room.
"See this can be my room," I shouted. "And look it has a secret window with a huge tree. See it mum."
"Ahh I do see," she smiled while walking over to the small window. "Well that looks like a good window for you to sneak out."
"What?" I asked confused.
"Nothing, you'll understand when your older, "she smiled while walking back out.
I followed her and helped the rest of the movers unpack the rest of my things. And while I was putting all my stuff away dad and mum were helping the movers get everything out of the van.
Once everything was unpack from the truck it was like almost night time. The sun was still out but it was going down. I was coloring in the kitchen while my mum helped dad hook up the tv.
"Alright well I think we should take a break, and go meet the neighbors before it gets dark." My mum suggested.
"Yea!" I shouted.
"Alright alright let's go," my dad said while smiling.
I run down the driveway and look around to the houses around ours. There one on each side of us. And also one across the street from us.
A big white one was to the left of our house. There were two people who lived there, and they were my mum and dad's age. But they didn't have and kids, so I didn't really talk to them. But I think there names were Samuel and Katie? I'm not sure though.
There was then a house to our right which was a small house and it was gray. We went to say hello, and it was to old people, but they were super nice. There names were Gary and Ellis. Ellis gave me a cookie and told me that if I ever need anything that I could always come over. They were just super nice people.
Then we had one house to go to next and it was the house across the street from us. It was like a light yellowish color and was big like ours. My mum and dad knocked and a man opened it.
"Hello," my dad said while putting out his hand. My mother did the same.
"Oh hello you must by the Dwyer family who just moved in, correct?" The nice man asked.
"Correct." my dad smiled. "I'm Josh Dwyer and this is my wife Lydia Dwyer."
"Honey come meet the new neighbors," the man shout into the hosue.
I tired to see inside to look if they had any kids, but I couldn't really see anything.
"I'm Bobby Horan, and this is my wife Muara Horan, " he said while his wife came to shake all of our hands.
They began talking for awhile, until my parents introduced me to them.
"And this is Arielle our little girl," my mom smiled while patting my head.
"Oh she's so precious," Muara said while smiling. "Boys come meet the neighbors," she shouted into the house.
I was getting excited because that means I'm gonna have someone to play with, hopefully there my age, or at least one is.
"This is Greg he's the oldest," she said while he shook our hands. "And this is my youngest Niall."
He peeked his head around the door, and looked at me. I looked at him as well. He was my height and had light brown hair. He had blues eyes to.
"Well say hello," my mom said while tapping my shoulder.
"Hello Niall," I said while holding out my hand.
"Hello Arielle," he said while shaking my hand.
"Awe now Niall has a play mate," Muara exclaimed.
"His he going to the primary school down the street?" My mum asked.
"Oh yes St. Kenny's National School," Muara smiled.
"Oh well then I think Niall and Arielle will be in the same class," my mother smile.
I smiled at Niall and he smiled back.
"Alright well just call anytime and they can hangout, or you could maybe come over for dinner," Muara smiled.
"Sounds great," my mother smile.
"God's blessing on your new house," Bobby smiled while waving us goodbye.
"Thank-you," my parents both said.
I waved goodbye to Niall and he did the same. I then turn around and went back to my house.
"Alright who wants pizza," dad said while picking up the phone.
"Mee!" I shouted.
Meeting Niall was fun today, I hope we are in the same class cause then I'll at least know one person on the first day. And maybe him and I can become friends, or maybe even best friends one day.
