Prologue

Work was really slow today, but you're still grateful for this job, where you have been working for a month now. The little shop belongs to an old man, who needed some help with carrying boxes and filling the shelves. You had been applying for jobs for weeks and no one seemed to want to give you a chance, when you saw the sign in the window and just went for it. The pay is alright too, at least it's enough to put food on the table. You're 19 and you had been living alone for a year now, after your parents had died during a fight between some heroes and a small group of villains. It was really hard for a while, but for now you feel fine most of the time.

The last customer leaves and you close up the shop. It's already dark outside and you still had to walk home, which was almost have an hour. Your feet already kinda hurt from standing and walking around all day, but there was no way around it. Too bad you can't use your healing quirk on yourself, that would make the commute home way easier.

The villains had been more and more active nowadays since All-Might had lost his powers and even though the heroes really try their best to keep everyone save, there's still a lingering fear among the population. The news mostly covered the crimes of the Shie Hassaikai and the League of Villains nowadays, but you don't really pay attention to it. After your parents died, your perspective on death also changed.

On your walk home you have to walk through a few dark allies, which you have grown kinda accustomed to and it doesn't really scare you anymore either. Nothing has ever happened so far, so even if you ever come across someone, which happens very rarely, you just walk past and mind your business. You had been hearing sirens all day and even now you hear some in the distance, you wished you had some headphones to draw the sound of them out. As you walk through the last alleyway before you're finally home, you see someone cowering beside a dumpster. It was really dark, and you couldn't see what the person looked like, but you heard some groans and it sounded like the person was in pain. If so, your quirk could really come in handy. Would it be smart though to just go up to them and ask if they need help? You're getting closer to walking past the person crouching on the ground and you're still pondering about whether or not to help them. They could be a villain for sure, why else would someone seemingly hide behind a dumpster at this time? As you get closer you see them gripping their stomach right beneath their rips and a puddle of blood was forming beneath them. There is no way you could walk past, you had to do something, so you take all your courage together and walk up to ... what the fuck? This is not real, the guy seemed to have hands, actual dismembered human hands gripping his face and upper body. There is no way you would stumble across him in an ally like this all alone, what kinda trick is faith playing on you now? This could only be Tomura Shigaraki and you were already standing in front of him, there is no turning back now.
