*Flashback to about a few months ago* also a few trigger warnings mentioning abuse and self harm

Murdoc stood over 2d, hand fisting a clump of blue hair. His eyes were emotionless and stolid, his teeth gritted up in what looked like fake pain. Murdoc slapped him and shoved his head into the wall. He grunted and sat up.

Murdoc slammed it into the wall again and again until a trickle of blood seeped from the azure hair. Murdoc lent down and spit into his face. 2d just sat there , didn't even flinch as Murdoc rose his fist and made contact with his cheek. His foot lunged for his ribs. He was earned a small gasp and a hiss of pain through clenched teeth. The process repeated until 2d became a bruised being.

Murdoc was hauled off screaming and yelling by Russel, he was beaten for what he did to 2d. They both nursed injuries and drifted away from everyone. 2d mostly.

*

Two weeks ago he relapsed and cut his wrists. Murdoc found out and nearly went ballistic. They kept it from Noodle and Russel but they noticed him wearing long sleeved shirts in hot weather but they tried to act as if it was normal. It was Murdoc normal,  not 2d normal.

Then three days ago Murdoc found the razors resurfaced on 2d's desk and he looked like he was going to strangle him.

That night he forced 2d to sleep in his room. He wrapped him in a cocoon of blankets and latched himself onto the roll forcing affection onto each other.

They both cried, arms tangled around each other, legs intertwined, sweat lined thier bodies from the countless layers of blankets and the labored breathing from crying. They held each other the best they could and become one without intimacy. Lips peppered kisses on eyes and face as the salt rolled down thier face.

"I love you."

Lips curled into a smile and continued to litter the other.

Fingers danced down arms, feeling every scar, scratch, cut, bruise. Every imperfection was beautiful,  told a story. They traveled lightly into an embrace featuring only infinite love.
They stayed like that through the night until sleep reached the recesses of thier minds and lulled them to sleep.

Sun shone on his face and jerky movements pulled him from sleep. He smiled as his eyes met the other's. A slap made contact with his face and hands shoved him off the bed , voice straining and yelling. He scrambled to his feet and ran.

Tears pricked at his eyes and hands flung threw and tore. Throat closed in a lump, not letting the tears fall. Fists punched, feet kicked. Heart hurt and broke. He loved him and they couldn't accept it.

Paper slid under the door. I don't want to but I do too. Hands trembled and ripped. "Then say it." He hissed at the door.

He loved him.
