It's Friday, I was sitting on the roof with my lunch. I never ate it, but I still got it so others would see me getting food. Using my arm as a pillow, I laid on my side and used my hair to block the light from hitting my eyes while I took a nap. Or attempted to. The door to the roof was opened and laughter stopped, but I didn't move since I'm tired.
"Hey, get off the roof, we have it on Fridays." A guy called, but I ignored him and continued to pretend I was sleeping. "Hey, asshole! I said leave!"
A low groan left me as I sat up, looking at the newcomers in annoyance. They looked to be second years, stupid ones. My hair was down to block out the sun, but I decided to quickly put it up in a bun while standing up. The guys looked intimidated as I stared at them out of boredom. They're all shorter than me.
"It's only the first week, you can't have it every Friday jackass." I stated, popping my knuckles to intimidate them. "Besides, I claim it for Fridays already. I'm up here every day."
Yesterday was the first day I came up here. Before I would hang out by the gym but stopped when I saw the volleyball club practicing during lunch. No one bothered me yesterday, letting me nap peacefully until the end of the day.
"W-Well we claim the roof now." One of the lackies commented, receiving an intrigued look from me. I walked to the lackies and grabbed him by his neck, lifting him off the ground with ease.
"Fuck off. I'm using the roof." I hissed, dropping him after a few more seconds of holding him. The others looked scared of me, looking to their leader to see he was also scared. I grabbed the leader by his collar and pulled him against me, pressing my forehead to his with a smirk. I lightly flicked my tongue out and over my lips before cooing at him. "You can come back alone sometime for some fun though."
Leaving them speechless, I dropped the leader and walked back to where I was napping. They left after I walked away, not wanting to mess with me. When the door closed, I sat back down and let my hair down so I could use it to block out the sun.
My dreams were riddled with memories, ones of my dad. Ones of him beating me and then holding me afterwards with fake tears in his eyes as he apologized for what he did. As he lied about being sorry, telling me I deserved it for what I had done wrong. All chances of sleeping left me and I sat up, seeing the sun was setting. A soft sigh left me and I headed to the classroom to grab my things. No one was there thankfully.
I packed my things up and headed outside, changing my shoes so I'd be able to run home if I have to. It was all fine until I was stopped by Tanaka. The volleyball club was cleaning up the gym after practice, the door wide open.
"Hey, (L/n)!" Tanaka called, standing in the doorway when he saw me. I stopped and glanced at him. "Come here, I'll get you an application to join so you can decide tomorrow and turn it in on Monday."
"Tanaka, who's that?" A voice called, soon the whole team coming to the doors to see who Tanaka was calling to. A pretty guy with silver hair caught my attention, making me smile slightly. "You're trying to get another delinquent to join us? Isn't four enough?"
"He's not a delinquent, he'll only look and act like that for a few months before changing." Tanaka waved off the guy's complaints. The one who was talking was a third year with black spiky hair. It looked soft. "That's (L/n) (Y/n), don't you remember him from last year?"
"The one kid he always talked about for a few months before acting as if he died?" The silver haired guy asked. He's so pretty, his friendly smile made me want to return with one back. It probably looked sinister on me though, so I didn't. "He looks a lot different than how he described."
"That's because he changes every few months like clockwork." Tanaka told them. "He'd probably be a great addition to the team, there's so many positions that he'd probably end up switching what he plays every few months instead of switching out of the club."
