"(L/n)!" I heard the familiar voice call out, making me glance over my shoulder to see Tanaka smiling happily. My mouth hurt from being cut up, so I opted to just wave back. "You're earlier than I thought."

"On time is late." I responded bluntly with a shrug, keeping my hands in my pockets. "Could we possibly get some volleyball supplies so I can be safe during practice? Even if I'm not accepted on the team, I'll probably still practice by myself."

"Sure, let me just notify Suga." He nodded and pulled out his phone. He was wearing one of his own hoodies, a pair of jeans, and a beanie.

I let out a shaky breath as we went down a set of stairs, clenching my teeth tightly with every step as I tried to hide the pain I felt going down each one. Hopefully they don't make me do a physical or anything for the team otherwise I'd be in too much pain to play. Tanaka rushed down and then glanced up at me in confusion, watching me come down the stairs while holding the railing for support.

"Come on, let's race." He smiled, motioning for me to follow him before starting to jog. I sighed softly, stopping on the steps before jumping, having instant regret afterwards. I cried out sharply, wrapping an arm around my waist to try soothing the pain. "(L/n)!"

Tanaka ran over, reaching to put a hand on my shoulder. I jumped away, glaring at him with hostility before remembering it was just Tanaka. I shook off my glare and apologized softly before standing up straight and ignoring the pain as I started to walk away. Tanaka followed, grabbing my shoulders and pushing me to stop.

"If you're in pain, you need to sit down!" Tanaka shouted, making me stop and look down at him with fake confusion.

"What do you mean? I'm fine." I lied, reaching out and pushing his arms away lightly. "I only did that because of some bruises from a fight, I'll be fine."

"Show them to me." Tanaka demanded. I looked at him in shock, but shook my head. "You're lying again, you're not fine! Show me the bruises, (L/n)."

"No, it'll draw unwanted attention. Let's just go to Suga so we can buy the supplies." I crossed my arms defensively as Tanaka looked at me in anger. "Besides, who says I'm lying? I may be a liar, but not everything I say will be a lie."

"Then you'll have to show me proof otherwise I won't believe you about anything." He demanded. I went around and continued walking. "You're going the wrong way, Suga is meeting us back upstairs."

"That's a lie." I told him, able to tell by the slight cockiness and lift in his voice that he was lying. A liar can spot a lie. "Suga is meeting us by the food stores."

Tanaka looked at me in slight disbelief before running over and grabbing my wrist firmly. I sighed in annoyance and let him lead me to where Sugar would be meeting us. I felt too tired to fight him, my energy drained from all the pain I've gone through since I woke up. Somehow, I managed to forget the pain when I passed out and it didn't start affecting me until I woke up.

After being pulled to a bakery, I spotted familiar silver hair at a booth. Tanaka pushed the door open and the bell rang to signal customers to the workers. Suga looked up, smiling happily at us until he saw the angry face of Tanaka while I was being dragged. Tanaka pointed to a chair, making me glare at it for a good ten seconds before slowly sitting down. I did my best to not look like I was in pain, but the suspicion was already there from the fact I had moved so slowly and carefully.

"He got into another fight." Tanaka crossed his arms, sitting next to me in the other empty seat. Suga looked at me in concern while I just gave Tanaka an annoyed look. "Come on, off with the mask. We're here to eat."

"I'm not hungry, but thanks anyways." I grunted, wanting to put my head down since I'm tired. I couldn't though, my body would be in too much pain.
