I know sometimes you overthink things. I also know sometimes you have bad nightmares. I can't control those things. But when they happen, there are some things I need you to remember.

I know we didn't meet until this past October, in 2019. I know we didn't start dating until February of 2020. But still, I know something.... I have been in love with you since the day I was born. Maybe even before that, if that's possible, I wouldn't know.

I have spent my whole life, loving you. How could this be when I hadn't met you yet? Well it's quite simple. I didn't know you yet, Lightning Bug. But I knew I loved the person who was made for me. I knew I loved whoever I was meant to be with. And I know now, that the person who I'm meant to be with, the person who was made for me, was you. I hadn't met you, but I still loved you already.

I truthfully have loved you for every day of my life. I have been waiting for you to come into my life to sweep me off of my feet. I've been waiting for the person who could love me as much as I could love them, which considering how much I love, is hard to match.

You have always been the one for me, even before I knew you. You are the only one who can handle me and all of my flaws and imperfections. You constantly say that you don't think you're that good of a boyfriend, and so on and so forth.... but you don't see you the way I do. You are absolutely, positively, 100% perfectly imperfect in my eyes.

I could never fully explain how that is to be honest. I wish I could. But somehow, even though I'm a writer, even though writing is the only way I'm capable of expressing my emotions, you make me speechless. You just have some sort of spell over me, and I don't mind it.

I love that you're so protective over me. It doesn't scare me at all. I love how hard working you are. I love how selfless you are. I love how loving you are. I love how loyal you are. I love how strong you are. I love how clingy you are. I love how emotional you are. I love how nerdy you are. I love how sweet you are. I love how goofy you are. I love how relaxed you are. I just love every bit of you.

There's not a day that goes by that I don't fall deeper in love with you. And I don't mind that. And for once, it doesn't scare me. Because I know that it's true for you, too. I know I love you just as much as you love me. And I know that will never change.
