Thankfully it was almost the weekend, I had forgotten the events of the previous nights while pouring over my physics and calculus homework. I found comfort in solving the problems until a body plopped down next to me in the old wooden library chair.

"You know you could try to be quiet, this is a library you know," I said still hunched over my papers but smiling now.

"Babe, It's not my choice that you decide to spend your time working on this," She nudged my papers with her manicured finger and made a disgusted face. I laughed and shut my textbook deciding I was done with this for today.

"Well its not my fault that I want to graduate and go to a good college," She made another disgusted face.

"When its time for college I'll just have my daddy pay for me to get in the same one you do," A twinge of annoyance passed through me. My own father had enough money to do the same thing, yet he'd never give a penny of it to me, and I'd never asked. Most of my things I had bought with the money I earned from the coffee shop and tutoring students after school. Maeve never had to work for anything, and it was frustrating to get her to even try.

"Whatever you say M, but I'm running late." I stood up and packed all my books in my red school bags and walked away from the table and she scurried after me.

"Late for what?" She caught up to me and I threw open the doors to get outside.

"For coffee with Calum and I think Michael," I saw George was pulled up to the curb and she hooked her arm through mine and steered me towards the black car.

"Well why do you think I'm here silly? Im here to take you, I already picked up Ashton and Luke, Calum and Michael will meet us there." I stopped in my tracks.

"Luke?" I whispered, the memories of last night flashed through my head and anger bubbled in my body. She gave me an apologetic look.

"Look Luce I know you guys had some bad blood last night, and I am totally for hating him, but when I went to get Ashton he insisted he come with us once he knew you were coming. " I rolled my eyes.

"Of course he did, he just wants to torture me even more," She pulled me towards the car again.

"Or maybe apologize? Just give it another chance, if not we can blow them all off and go shopping." She smiled at me again and I gave in. If Luke said anything, I reminded myself that he did not know me or what I've been through. I ducked inside the car and saw Ashton and Luke waiting inside. Ashton gave both of us a broad smile, but Luke just barely glanced up from his phone, looked at my school uniform and looked back down at his phone. The both of them wore their own uniforms but they had loosened the tie at their neck, and they swapped their black uniform shoes for black converse and vans. Or maybe they broke the dress code and wore them to school.

"Hey Lucy, nice to see you again," Ashton said, the car pulled on the road and I buckled in the seat beside Luke.

"You too," I said back, Ashton gave Maeve a quick peck on the cheek and wrapped his long arms around her torso. I angled myself to be as far from Luke as I could. The whole ride was mainly silent, except for the occasional whispering of Ashton and Maeve. Luke didn't speak once.

As we pulled up to Joes coffee shop, the one where we usually went for coffee and I worked as a barista for. We shuffled out of the car to see Calum and Michael already waiting out front for us. They both have me broad smiles and I wondered if Michael's bright red hair followed the dress code at their boys school.

"Ladies nice to see you again," Michael said pulling me in for a quick hug,

"Likewise, " I said smiling back and giving Calum a quick hug. We chose a booth in the corner and all waited for our orders to go through.
