Me and Angie had been writing back and forth for about 2 weeks.

I had gotten 2 letters today one from Angie and another from someone I didn't know, probably another suitor.

I opened Angie's letter.

Dear Frances,

My father said there is a cabinet meeting up in New York, I hope you may be coming up up to New York, we could finally talk again in person.
Wishing you well,

Angelica Hamilton

I smiled and sat it down, opening the other letter.

Dear Frances,
If pug don't know this is Philip Hamilton.

"What the fu-"

I tried to get your address from my sister but she wouldn't tell me so I just took the letter and wrote down your address.

Anyway, next time I see you in New York I hope we can go on a date, and we have a little after date in my bedroom.

          Sincerely,
               Philip Hamilton.

I rolled my eyes "as if Philip Hamilton."

I wrote back to Angie

Dear Angie,
I will be joining George up in New York so I will be seeing you there. I can't wait. I look forward to it.

Sincerely,

Frances Eleanor Laurens

I decided not to write back to Philip, not being interested.

I walked downstairs and saw George "hello George."

He smiled "hello Eleanor, Martha should be down here soon."

I nodded and Martha came down and we all ate .

"George, would you mind if I rode with you to New York? I would like to spend time with Angelica Hamilton."

He nodded "that's fine. I leave early tomorrow morning, make sure your up."

I nodded and smiled "yes sir."

We all finished eating and I went upstairs and started packing.

I packed and by the time I got finished I was getting a bit tired so I went ahead and went to sleep.

I woke up around 7 and got changed, not wanting to keep George waiting.

George smiled "well good morning Frances. If you set your bag outside your door I'll get it, and you get ready."

I nodded "perfect."

I placed my bag outside and closed the door, getting changed and fixing my hair.

I walked out and gave Martha a hug "we'll be back soon."

She hugged me back "be safe and write to me."

I nodded "I couldn't imagine not writing."

She smiled "alright, now go ahead if you want to get there so you have time to spend with Angelica."

I smiled and walked out, George helping me into the carriage.

And with that we were off.

I looked out the window and looked at all the fields we were passing, the rows and rows of all the slaves and cotton. I wouldn't tell this to George but it makes me sick.
