New Place and the Truth

Kathryn's POV

After finding out that I was pregnant, only Tea knew. Not Yugi, Joey, Mokuba, not even Seto; the father of the baby I'm carrying. I moved in with her, Mokuba was heart broken and Seto has left me many calls and messages that I have failed to answer to. My life was falling apart, and I felt so lost, confused even. I had no idea where to begin.

A few days have passed since I moved in with Tea and I have been throwing up more and more. I hated it, I really did. I was pregnant. Speaking of throwing up, that's what I exactly was doing. I couldn't keep anything down, not even water. This baby got me thinking that it hates me. 

"Kathryn!" Tea yelled. I quickly cleaned up my face and her toilet before I went out to see her. "You're phone's going off." She said as she was washing the dishes. Of course, it was Seto. So this time, I decided to be a decent human being and answer.

"What do you want?" I asked blankly. 

"I need you." Seto was crying, but this wasn't new anymore. "I haven't stopped thinking about what I did. Come back to me, please!" 

"No, I won't. I'm just fine here without you." I heard a slam.

"You don't understand!" He yelled on the other end, now that pissed me off.

"Oh, what don't I understand? I've been cheated on in the past and raped by my so-called father! I've been through hell and back, and so have you. But, try being afraid to love again because of some fucking prick!" I began. "You have NO IDEA what it's like to go through that kind of shit and still be standing. I loved you! I adored you!" I screamed back.

"I need you.. My life is meaningless.." He said, trying to get me to feel sorry I bet.

"That sucks, you should have thought about that before you did that to me. You deserved this, Seto." I hung up, then bawling my eyes out on Tea's living room floor.

She rushes to my side and I set my phone down on the floor right by me. She held me and rubbed my back then broke the silence between each sob.

"Would you like Joey to come over?" I shook my head.

"Not yet, Tea. I somehow have to tell Seto that I'm pregnant." We both sighed and I pinched the bridge of my nose.

"Good luck with that." She claimed. "But, when?"

I looked at her with a small grin.

"Today, and yes. I'd love the gang to come with us." Tea smiled with me and she called the gang as I went into my room in the small apartment to grab my purse which has the small sonogram of the little bean in my stomach.

It was a nice, cool day for the most part. I wore a black shirt with a tan flannel over it with a pair of navy skinny jeans and a pair of my black ankle boots. My hair was up in a pony tail and I had a small bit of makeup on, since Seto loved it when I did.

"There they are!" I heard Tea cheer as we met them at the cafe shop around the block from Kaiba Corp. We rushed together to meet them and we all smiled. 

"So, what are we doing again?" Tristan asked as Tea swatted her hand across the back of his head.

"We're going to see Kaiba so Kathryn can talk to him, but don't worry. It's something she needs to do." She winked at me and I gave her an assured smile. 

"It's nothing too bad, at least I'm trying to stay positive about it." I said, nervously.

"I'm sure it will be fine, whatever it is." Ryou stated. 

"I hope he knows I'll be ready to throw down with him!" Joey said as I rolled my eyes.

We walked inside of Kaiba Corp and I couldn't help but feel my heart in the bottom of my stomach. I was scared. What if he gets mad? Will he start throwing shit from his office at me? We walked passed Roland and he didn't say anything to me or the gang thankfully. We walked right inside of his office and I saw her. 

Diane Witherbee.

My heart stopped. He held her. Kissed her neck, her naked back faced me and the rest of us. Seto's sapphire eyes pierced mine and he just stopped and stared, like he seen a ghost. I had no words for this poor excuse of a man.

"Kathryn, I-"

"Save it." I walked to him and Diane, then she looked at me and checked out my outfit. 

"Aw, look what the wind blown in. Some garbage." She snickered.

"Oh, please. You got David to cheat on me with you. Don't flatter yourself." I turned to Seto and I pulled out the sonogram from my purse and I handed it to him.

"What's this?" He checked it out and his eyes got wide then looked at me. "Are you-" I snatched the photo of my baby away from him and I glared hard into his blue orbs.

"I'm here to remind you what you're going to miss out on; a real family." Seto's face softened and so did his eyes. "I'm getting my phone number changed. I'm done talking to you." I turned around to walk towards the gang and next thing I know, Joey jumps in front of me, facing a very angry CEO.

"Touch her, Kaiba; you will get your ass kicked." He threatened to him.

"Please Wheeler." I rolled my eyes. "Lay hands on me and you'll get sued, even though I won't get much." I scoffed and reached Joey's side.

"I could sue you for being abusive, Seto. Don't start."

"How the hell could you sue me for abuse?! I never laid a hand on you!"

"You threw office supplies in my direction! You don't want to lose your baby, don't you?" Every member of the gang looked at me except for Tea when I asked the last sentence. 

"You're pregnant?" They all asked at once.

"Yes, which is why I'm here." I turned to my ex and continued to speak. "Seto, either you let us leave without a fight, or I will get authorities." Seto walked back a couple spaces and looked back at Diane who was scared out of her mind. "I see you made your decision." I tugged on Joey's arm and turned my back towards Seto, walking out of his office.
