this might be a little controversial but i'm gonna talk about the hongjoong situation really quick guys
so for the those of you guys who don't know hongjoong (with the blue hair) of ateez recently appropriated black culture

because i'm not black i can't speak too much on the appropriation part what i CAN talk about are the comments under the instagram post
so because i can't have an opinion on the situation (since i'm not black) i went to the comments to see what black people had to say abt it. i was fully expecting a whole lot of hate towards him especially since whats been going on with the world (blm movement, police brutality towards poc), but i was really surprised to see a lot of black people defending him
if they choose to defend him that's fine because it's their culture but what pisses me off to the core is when chan (stay kids) had the same hairstyle people literally sent him death threats and wanted him to leave the group and people TO THIS DAY don't like him and its so sad
(let me just say i know chan has done a few other things to disrespect black culture but people were wanting him to leave the group solely because of the hairstyle thing first so that's why i'm only talking abt that)
it just really annoys me how kpoppies always just choose who they want to attack when they're in the same situations...kinda reminds me of the itaewon scandal mainly jungkook and jaehyun and how nctzens (mainly k-nctzens) literally trending that they demand an apology meanwhile armys were defending jungkook which just sums up my love-hate relationship with nctzens
just so yall dont think i'm biased i'm not an atiny or a stay but i do enjoy both groups music
if i said something that comes off as offensive or i got some info wrong please educate me in the comments but be respectful rats
