i was sitting at the bleachers, waiting for juyeon so we can walk back home together.

their basketball practice was over and he went to the locker room to change first.

there was another reason why i'm waiting for him though.

the other basketball players left and juyeon just went out of the locker room, now wearing his school uniform.

"let's go?" he asked after wiping his sweat off with a towel. i then nodded.

he was about to walk ahead, but i stopped him.

he looked back at me. "why?"

"i-i still have something to tell you.." i stuttered.

"what is it?" he turned all his attention to me.

i gulped as my heart started beating faster.

"juyeon, i.."

"i like you." i gathered all the courage to look at him in the eyes.

he looked confused and he stayed quiet.

i knew it.. he doesn't feel the same.

i then shook my head and nervously laughed.

"th-that was just a joke! i wanted to ch-cheer you up.."

"cheer me up..?"

i nodded.

"ah.. you didn't have to. i'm over hana now."

i know he was lying.

he still likes kang hana until now.

kang hana is the typical popular girl who's pretty, smart, kind, friendly.. she's everything every boy wants.

but she chose only one boy, euijin, the school's player.

and of course, juyeon was mad, but mostly sad.

he was nicer, smarter, more good-looking than euijin. that's why he's mad that of all boys that likes her, why him? he'll just break her heart.

"i can cheer up on my own." he shrugged. "but thanks for trying." he smiled at me.
