blast from the past part 2

Diana's P.O.V.

when i saw a guy with another girl came to us i heard the girl that has a slight resemblance to franki called her sis my assumption was right she's franki's sister and the guy.. i guess he's the boyfriend....

when the guy hugged her my heart sank and when he suddenly kissed franki in the forehead that's too much for me already...

i told them i need to go and make up some excuse and left

i went straight to the rooftop of the school and cry there..

deep in side i know he still has all the rights to do that to franki because technically they are together but its just too much to bare..

too much to bare seeing the person you love is still involved with someone else and not you..

a few minutes later i heard the door open and someone whisper my name and i know that voice.. its franki..

she is saying sorry and all but its just so hard to know if what she's telling me is true or not.. so i made her choose..

but before she answer the same guy came to us..

he's confronting her..

and even though that franki's back isa facing me i know she's crying because of the way she speaks..

and while they are in the heated confrontation dylan suddenly slapped her and i saw franki kneeled in the ground and the last thing i know gino is there giving gylan some punches and when i went to franki she looks so pale with a red mark on her beautiful face but when i touch her.. her temperature goes up and she's still has a fever and she fainted...

"gino!! " i called him he stopped what's he's doing and went to us..

gino carries franki to the infirmary and the nurse asked us what happened

"she fainted i guess bacuse she have a relapse (nabinat) from her fever" i said

"when did she got a fever?" the nurse ask

"2 days ago" i answered

"its a possibility that is a relapse.. let her stay here until she wakes up and you can all go to class for now but leave your number here ( log book) so i can call you when she wokes up" the nurse said and i did what she said...

me and gino left the infirmary and i ask him if he could stay besides me for now..

we both ditch our class and we left the school grounds to go the park near..

i took the pack of cigarettes in my bag and lit one stick...

"i didn't know you smoke" he said

"i rarely smoke actually.. only if my strss are too much" i said

"you know...." he started and look at me and i did the same to him "she really do loves you" he said and look back in the distance..

"how do you know?" i ask him back..

"i know because i saw it... i saw how she looked at her boyfriend back in new zealand and the way she looks at you its really different" he said.. and i look at him... confused

"so.." i was about ask when he smiled at me

"well im the one who dragged franki here in the Philippines...me and franki is kind of a long distance childhood friends.. we met when we were a child her dad and mine are business partners and he always dragged me arround whenever there's no school so i can learn from the company and when we went to new zealand that's where i met franki..." he explained and im looking at him in disbelief

"so you know about dylan also?" i ask

"yeah i met him a couple of times when we were kids he really do have a very bad temper...he doesn't care if you are a guy or a girl as long as he doesn't like what you do or say he will hit you.."

"but why? why did franki?" i asked

"parents agreement i guess" i look in confused

"you mean like arrange relationship" i ask

"something like that.. well rich people wants to have kids because that's their qualateral for their business" then he look at me...

"franki doesn't have a chance that time to refuse anything as long as she could save her father's company then that was the time that dylan ask franki for a date she refused at first since she knows dylan but a week later Dylan's father came to her and makes a deal that they'll fund the company until it can go back to it's feet if she could date his son" my eyes started to water while hearing gino..

franki isn't really lying... she never lie she just kept the hard truth from me...

"so what happened now?" i ask

"well the deal was off i guess.. their company is still struggling because franki's father died last year.. he didn't make it because of what's happening but franki's mom and sister is the one who's making sure that the company will be alright" he said

"what about franki if the deal was off" i ask

"she'll back in new zealand since her family can't fund her they'll might loose the company, basically franki will lose everything even you" he said and that's where i cant stop crying...

"what should i do? gino help me" i said

then he looked at me and said..

"do you really love her? like really really love her that no matter what happens you wont just leave or find somebody else" he ask and i nod..

he took his phone and left me alone in the bench while talking to someone...

he get back after a few minutes...

"its done.. my dad said he'll help them" and i look at him in disbelief

"like that?" i ask

"well i do have a share in the company so yeah franki is my best friend and im just looking for something worth to use my last card" he said

"what do you mean?"

"let's just say its an early present for franki's birthday" and he smiled

i dont know what rich people need to sacrifice to get a favor for someone but what he did i guess it's the sacrifice I'll never forget...

"hello?" i said to the other line

"she's awake and she's looking for you" the other line said
