#17 Fast as a Cat

Y/N's POV

"And here I thought only Richard had to wake up this early, WHY AM I HERE?!" I yelled frustrated. Doggy and I are walking to a stadium not far from my house. That's, where all of us are gonna meet up. We wear our sports clothes because there's gonna be a lot of running.

"Well, I think this would be a perfect opportunity for you to train. It's been a while since you've run. So don't be a baby." Doggy laughed. I just huffed. "I wish I still am at this point..." I said under my breath.

After a few more minutes, we arrived at the stadium. It's much bigger in person. I looked around and saw everyone already there. And by everyone, I mean Pony, Zizzy, Bunny, Penny, and the four kids. Doggy nudges me with a smirk. "See, even 10-year-olds can wake up this early." I just rolled my eyes as we walk towards the group.

"Morning!" They greeted. I was in a bad mood so I just mumbled quietly. "Not a morning person huh?" Penny chuckles.

"AWW YEAH!!! Everyone's here! Let's go!" Richard yelled getting ready to run on the tracks. But Bunny pulled him back and Richard fell to the ground. "Hey!!!" He yelled. "We're still waiting on one someone," Bunny said. "Whose that?"

"Me."

We all turn to see who that voice belongs to. There is a black panther standing at the entrance. From the appearance, he is at least 6 feet tall, and it also seems like he spent most of his time in the gym.

He walks towards us and fist bump Doggy. "Hey, Pax. Thanks for all this." Doggy then turns to us. "Guys, I want you to meet Paxton." Penny gasps. "Wait, you mean you're the one that runs the track team academy for elites?" Paxton nods. "Yes, indeed. And I brought my fastest student in my academy to join us." He snapped his fingers and someone ran past us with sonic speed.

I can't even see who it is. All I can see is dust and dirt. "Cool!" Zee and Zuzy exclaimed. After the dust faded off, there is an orange figure standing a few feet away from us. "You're not a cheetah," Zizzy mumbles. "Nope! I'm a cat. The name's Kitty!" Kitty laughed, puffing her chest out confidently.

She's wearing mint green shorts and a mint tank top. "How can you be so fast if your not a cheetah?!" Zuzy yelled throwing her hands in the air. "Years of training of course!" Kitty said. "You don't have to be a cheetah to be fast, it only depends on you." Paxton kneels down ruffling Zuzy's hair.

"What does that mean?" Zizzy asks Pony but he only shrugs. "Alright!" Kitty clapped her hands. "Less chatting, more running!" "Wait! Now?!" I yelled. I didn't know we would start immediately after meeting each other. Kitty only nods. "Warm-up run, let's go!" And she took off.

Zee, Zuzy, George, and Richard cheered and follow behind Kitty. Leaving us teenagers standing there. Guess kids are much more energetic than the rest of us. "Come on guys," Doggy said jogging away. "I'm just here for moral support. Not to get sweaty." Penny glared. We mumbled and agreed.

Doggy then smirked behind us. Before we can turn around to see whats he smirking at-

"GAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!" We all jumped and screamed, covering our ears. I wipe my head around, still covering my ears, and saw Paxton holding an air horn in his hand. Smirking as well. He was about to press it again, but we all just started running on the track. "WE'RE GOING, WE'RE GOING!!!" Zizzy yelled. I don't wanna run, but it's better than breaking my eardrums.

Richard's POV

This is fun!!! "Hey, Kitty, how did you become this fast? Because the books only mention cheetahs are the fastest animals in the world." Zuzy curiously asked. She always had a love for books. "Years of training like I said." She answered.
