Quick Note: This happened during the same day as Nightmares parts 1 and 2.
Mimi's POV
"These are all some interesting books Professor. " I said. I'm in the local library that Professor Badgy owns. He took some time off from being a researcher because of his past experiences with sustains 128 on his right arm. But he's fine now, luckily the doctors can help him.
"Well, that's why I'm donating these to your book fair." He said as he's arranging some books on a shelf. "Some of the books here have been on their shelves collecting dust for who knows how long. It's better for them to step into the light and find an owner." Badgy lifted a box full of books up and moved it near the doorway, where all the other books are.
"Speaking of owners, where are your friends?" He said scratching his head. I looked at my phone. 2:23 p.m. "I'm sure they'll be here soon." Suddenly a honk can be heard outside. "Hmp, speak of the devil," I mumbled.
"What took you guys so long?" I said a little annoyed. "Sorry about that," Girrafy said. "It took us a whole hour to convince Foxy to come here to help!" Zizzy yelled hopping out and slamming the car door with all her might. Foxy just walked past me silently. "So what finally convinced you to come?" I whispered to him. "It's either books or death."

"So there are about 25 boxes and more for us to move. And that since you guys are late, we need to finish this before 6. Because that's when the library closes." I said to them. They all mumbled in agreement and start to move the boxes. It's just the four of us and Badgy versus probably 30 boxes of books. Can we do it? I stood there thinking.
"Hey wait! Why can you guys carry them?!" Foxy yelled. "What do you mean?" Girrafy asked. "Zizzy can carry them easily." Zizzy cleared her throat. "That's because I'm training to be a fencing coach." She said with a confident smile. "Why can't you replace me with somebody else then?!" Foxy complained. "Because the others are busy, and your one of the employees at the carnival!"
I just have a blank expression on my face as I hear Foxy and Zizzy arguing in the distance. This is gonna take a while.

Zizzy's POV
Well, the good news is that we finished moving the boxes that are at the front door. But looks like the professor had other plans... I just stared at the 'new' boxes that needed moving. I just decided to take a little break. Do you know how heavy those are?! I'll just leave them to the others while I explore a little. I mean, Foxy already is slacking off.
I walked deeper into the library. This library is huge for sure. The shelves are probably 4 Girraffys tall. I wonder if they have anything about fencing here; or anything about destroying twins... As I walked deeper into the library, the books I past seems to be getting older. This must be where most of the unwanted books are. Might as well help out sorting these books out.
Looking through the books, one, in particular, caught my eye. And no it's not about fencing. It seems like the oldest book here from what I've seen at least. It's a red-covered book with gold for the title. I couldn't read the title of the book clearly so I pulled it out. The clouds of dust immediately came on me. "*cough* *cough* Gosh...How long has this been in here..."
I fanned the dust away that is in the air around me and that's on the book. I wiped the dust on the book with my hands (hooves?). The title read...Humans. I raised a brow. What's this? I flipped the book open carefully since it's super fragile for the pages. Some pages are already toured and missing.
"Humans are terrestrial animals, characterized by their erect posture and bipedal locomotion; high manual dexterity and heavy tool use compared to other animals; open-ended and complex language use compared to other animal communications; larger, more complex brains than other primates; and highly advanced and organized societies..." I trailed off. What are these things called 'humans'?
I kept flipping the book to learn more about this creature. But there's no pictures or any specific detail on what they look like. "There you are!" I jumped, turn around, and saw Mimi walking towards me. "What are you doing here? You're supposed to help move the boxes!" "What's wrong with a little break," I said. My eyes glued to the pages. "What you got there?" Mimi questioned. "A book I found about this thing called 'humans'." I give her the book to inspect. Mimi pushed her glasses to her face and read through the first page I just read before. She had a puzzled look on her too. "We should ask Professor Badgy about this." I just nodded. I'm actually interested in what those things are. Since that, I've never heard of them before.

"Professor Badgy!" Mimi called out. Badgy is helping Foxy and Girrafy with the boxes. "And where have you been?!" Foxy yelled. "Foxy, lower your voice, please. We're in a library." I smirked. It's just satisfying to me to his defeated face. We both just don't get along as much that's all. Foxy just rolled his eyes at me. "What have you got there?" Girrafy asks. "We were hoping Badgy would answer that for us," Mimi said, handing the red book to Badgy.
Badgy looked confused. But as he looked at the title, the realization hit him. "Looks like you girls found the book about humans." He said calmly. "Humans?" Both teenage guys question. Badgy places the book on a table nearby and flipped open the book.
"Humans first appeared in our world around 300,000 years ago. They were the most dangerous mammals on our planet. Legend said that they kill animals to feed on, and uses them as their clothing. They were even smarter than our aunt sisters." Badgy paused for a moment before continuing. "But all that changed when around 200,000 years ago, they vanished. No one knows what happens to the humans."
"Are you sure this isn't just a legend?" Foxy asked. Badgy closes the book and looked up at Foxy. "Oh, trust me. They really did exist." He took the book and place it back on one of the shelves. The room was silent. And I'll be honest here, this is more terrifying than the infection. I'm glad they're not around anymore. "Alright! Let's get back to work now. These books won't move themselves." We all groaned in frustration.
