Picture to the side is Massie
Calum's POV:
I cautiously drove back to the hotel I was staying at with the rest of my band members, making sure not to hit anybody or thing. I parked my truck, glad that there weren't any fans or paparazzi outside anymore. Quietly and quickly i made my way to the suite I was sharing with Ashton. Opening the door I saw Michael and Luke also in the room.
"Wait, you're not drunk?!" Michael exclaimed after examining me. I just glared at them all, not saying anything.
"Great! So we have two grumpy as*holes in the band right now!" Ashton said, frowning at both Luke and me. What's wrong with Luke? Instead of interrogating him, I decided to leave him alone, I have enough problems of my own.
"Oh God! Calum, she was a b*tch. Stop acting like it's the end of the world. There are plenty of other girls who would love to go out with you. Seriously you can do much better!" Michael shouted when I was glaring down at my hands. He was right my ex, Massie, was always a major spoilt snob, but that was not who I had been thinking about. It was the girl I had hit, she was probably amazing and a total keeper.
"Actually, I'm over her. I was just thinking about this one girl.........what's wrong with our little Lukey?" He was practically crying while glaring at his phone.
"Huh... uh.. nothing. It's not your business so leave me alone." Luke snapped at all of us. What the hell was going on?
"Luke what is going on? You've been acting weird for weeks, almost a month! Now you're snapping at us, your band members? What is with you? And don't even think about lying, we've already gotten enough bullshit from Calum." Ashton shouted before I could snap back at Luke myself.
"It's personal! I don't bug you guys about what you do in your private time, so why should you guys start prying into mine? I'm going to bed and tomorrow you can go to the studio without me. I'd like to be alone." He stormed out of the room, slamming the door on his way out. I heard another bang and knew he must have slammed his hotel door too.
"Do you think I went on him too much? I feel like a pushy mother trying to get to my teenage son, but I'm only making him hate me more." Ashton said after a while of all of us staring at the door. He had a big frown on his face and looked really upset.
"No, i think he's just having troubles with his family or a girl. I'll try talking to him. Just get to bed we have a lot of work to do tomorrow with what little we got done these past few days. I'm going to go talk to him before I go to bed, don't sweat it Ashton. And Calum, stop being such a d*ck! It's just some stupid girl, we all know you didn't love her so it should not be that hard to forget her." Michael said before following after Luke.
I honestly wasn't even thinking of Massie. I now realize she was just a stuck up gold digger. As soon as I saw the girl I ran over, I'm going to call her Coma Girl, I realized that. I was thinking of Coma Girl. She looked amazing without any make up; Massie would always be wearing it. I just could not get this girl off my mind. If only I knew who she was....
The Next Day
During rehearsals I was barely there. If you asked me what was going on I wouldn't be able to tell you. The Kool Aid man could have burst through the walls and I would not have noticed. Coma girl was on my mind the whole time. All I could think about was her; her name, kissing her, having s*x, being a couple. I felt as if I would die if I didn't see her today. After we were done practically sitting around doing nothing, (Luke refused to show up!) I quickly made my way to the hospital. Maybe someone would come looking for Coma girl and we would figure out who this girl is. Hopefully she doesn't have a boyfriend... I made my way to her room, waving to Allie on my way there. When I made it to her room, there was a nurse already in there. She turned around and squealed, "I didn't see you come in!" She was pressing a hand to her heart.
"I'm sorry. Do you think she'll wake up soon?" I asked her.
"I have no idea, all cases are different. No two people or case is the same. Girlfriend?" She asked, looking apologetic.
"Hopefully when she wakes up." I gave her a small smile while she finished doing whatever she was doing to Coma girl. The nurse quickly left after that. I sat at the chair by her bed. Who could she be? Was anybody looking for her? Why was fate so evil to have this beautiful girl who I couldn't keep my mind off go into a coma? Would she ever wake up? Would she go for somebody like me? "You're absolutely gorgeous, I'm so sorry for hitting you. I swear I'll do anything to make it up to you, just wake up. For some reason I just can't get you out of my mind." I spent a good half hour talking to her. I read somewhere online that talking to coma patients could help them wake up. I really hoped this worked. I needed to know who this girl was!
On my way to the parking lot I saw Allie again. Now that I looked at her I realized she looked like she drove through hell. Huge black bags under her red puffy eyes, her greasy hair thrown up in a mess on her head, and her face was colorless. I almost couldn't believe this was the same girl as yesterday. How did I not notice this when I first saw her? I must have been so focused on Coma girl. "What's wrong with Miss. Bubbly?" I asked sitting next to her.
"Miss. Bubbly? Really?! That's so lame and definitely not what you could call me." She snapped back at me.
"Ok, ok fine. Sorry, it's just you were so nice and happy yesterday and now you're the model for a terrible break up or someone finding out that they're now an orphan. What happened?"
"My roommate seemed to disappear on me and I can't find her anywhere. Also I don't know if he can be considered an ex, but my ex boyfriend seriously won't leave me alone. And my dad keeps trying to force me into a relationship with his best friend's son." Her hands were waving all in the air while she was talking. She looked extremely stressed. Her phone started to ring and she sighed, "Speak of the ex boyfriend and he shall call you!" She ignored the call turning to me. "And why exactly are you here? Visiting your "girlfriend" you ran over?"
"Girlfriend?!!? And yes, actually I am."
"Yes the workers here can't seem to shut their mouths and rumors are going around that you ran over your girlfriend after an argument. That she was going to leave you and you couldn't deal with it." She started to laugh. "The people here have like no life so they always have to find ways to make work more interesting."
"And how would you know all this?"
"A story like this is like the most popular guy and the nerdy girl getting together in high school; the biggest news. You're going to be the talk for days. Also, I want to be a doctor and right now I'm volunteering so of course I'm going to know." She smirked at me.
"Well can't you tell them the truth and wow I would not expect you to be a doctor!"
"Hey what's wrong with me being a doctor? And nope I personally think it's hilarious. So have you told your band members that you ran over a chick yet or not?"
"Nothing just, you look good enough to be a model. I wouldn't expect you to want to actually get a job. And no." She gave me a disapproving glare," Besides we already have enough problems with Luke being a bipolar ass recently." She tensed up at that. "And we already have enough problems with our management. If I told the guys then they would tell them and we would be dealing with a whole bunch of annoying bossy people. And they would come here and trust me, you do NOT want to meet them." We both started to laugh.
"Ok, I see your point. Thanks for cheering me up, now I have to go. Sorry. I'll see you some other time." She ran down a hallway, leaving me looking like an idiot. I shook my head, smiling. I was thinking of Coma girl again. She was so pretty. If only I had met her under different circumstances.
