Part 3

Next day, as sunshine comes through the curtains Kiara wakes up first and sees her Pops sleeping like a baby but with a frown. She kisses his frown and heard him mutter " Thanks fuggy." Even though she finds these nicknames given by her Pops irritating but she's fond of them as when once she asked him out of sheer frustration as to why he called her these names he replied " Abhigya these were the names I gave to my love, my wife and your mamma. And now you are next to her in my life." He said all this with tears in his eyes as if remembering something good. He continues " But there is one name that I have given her but not you." She asked him what that was and he replied " Chashmish. Since you don't have specs hence I sometimes call you kishmish. Rhyming Rhyming see." She was 4 years old then and seeing the love her Pops had for her Mamma she also started loving her and kept missing her and how she keeps talking to her photo when she's sad which is rare. She happily goes down and meets Sunny on the staircase and both go down to check the fridge and seeing yesterday's dessert that are happy and go back to their rooms to get ready for the day. All come down for breakfast and Robin starts serving them. When Kiara signals Robin he brings out yesterday's dessert and she says " Since everyone behaved well yesterday night they all can have the dessert now. Come on Sunny, Chucks let's serve then for being obedient."

Sunny gets up but Purab is busy playing with his food and isn't listening to anyone, everyone remembers the date and don't disturb him. They know he goes somewhere on this day every month and he will be gloomy all day and if anyone disturbs him he'll blast them to the verge of tears. All have got habituated to this habit of his except Abhi. Abhi thinks " This is high time Purab you have been doing the same thing since 7 years and haven't talked to anyone about what you are doing. Today at any cost I'll find out where you go and why you become so gloomy on this day every month. You never lose your temper but this day has somehow made you such. I can't tolerate this anymore." All are eating they're dessert happily but Abhi is continuosly observing Purab while eating. After everyone's breakfast is over Purab gets up leaves his food untouched and goes to his room and comes out with his bag and without talking to anyone goes out and takes his car and drives away. Seeing this Abhi signals Disha and both of them get into another car and follow him. They both have been planning to follow him since many days and tried many times but he always takes a different route and they lose him. But they are determined that they won't lose him now. They see him stop near a florist and buy a bouquet of red roses. Abhi remembers Pragya on seeing those flowers but quickly comes out of the trance to follow him. They next see him stop near a pharmacy and buy something and they quickly follow him and finally see him parking his car near a cottage. They park their car away from the cottage and slowly try to near him. They both stand near the door and hear him saying " Maria, you go I'll take care and here is your cheque. While coming today evening buy everything and if something isn't available call me I'll somehow arrange it." They then hear footsteps and hide and see a woman in her fifties coming out. After the lady has gone they both go inside and find the house empty except for Purab's voice which is coming from one of the bedroom. They both go there and see Purab sitting on the bed and see a pair of legs of a woman but aren't able to see her face as Purab is blocking them. He's talking to her as to how his month went and how he missed her and was waiting for this day. They both are in shock hearing him. Before they make any assumptions they see Purab getting up and putting a Pen-drive in the TV and play a video. They are surprised to hear their voices from the TV and turn to look at the TV and find the video which is being played is the one Abhi and Purab have recorded since last month. They then carefully see the decor of the room and find all the walls of the room covered by the photos of Kiara along with their family. They both now come to conclude that this lady is Kiara's mother but both feel a connection to her as if they have known her for quite a long time. Purab keeps telling her everything happening in the video. The last clip is of yesterday's punishment to everyone. After telling her off yesterday's debacle his face again turns sad and he starts crying bitterly holding the woman's hand. Composing himself he says " For how long will you continue this. That girl is longing for you and I have seen the guilt and shame in his eyes. Even though she filled all the voids left on that day she can't replace you. Please get up for her sake, for his sake, please for our sake. Everyone misses you, they show themselves as strong but all miss you. Please di please get up or at least show me some signs that you are there and I promise you I'll bring Kiara to you. Please di this is the only request for you from my side." Saying this he can't control himself and goes to the balcony. Both Abhi and Disha are stumped hearing his outburst. They turn to see the face of the woman for whom Purab is in such agony, but what they see leaves them open-mouthed. They are shocked would be an under-statement. They both see Pragya lying there he face turned towards the TV but her face doesn't have any expression. If it wasn't for the machine connected to her indicating she's alive one would think she's dead. Abhi is shocked to see the love of this life lying there but what is more shocking is the revealtion that Kiara is his and Pragya's daughter. But what is more over whelming is the fact that when Purab brought Kiara home he had told that Kiara's mother had tried to commit suicide and didn't even knew she was pregnant. He is crying or more like bawling internally after knowing the fact that the words which he said on that fateful day had such an impact on her that the woman who was able to survive him forgetting her tried to commit suicide. He also thinks if it hadn't been for Purab he would have not lost only two most important people of his life but also Kiara. He is the husband who wronged his wife, he wronged his daughter. He knows now why everyone feels connected to Kiara amd why whenever he thought of his and Pragya's daughter Kiara's face came in his mind. Disha is also over whelmed to see her sister in this state. They both now understood Purab's behaviour since sometimes before Kiara came into their life and his slight reluctance in their efforts to find Pragya as he already knew where she was and in which condition. They both can't be able to take this shock and try to come out of the cottage silently and drive towards their home. Once they both reach their, they dash to Purab's room and totally upturn it to find the file with all of Kiara's certificates. Hearing  their commotion all of the people come into the room and see Abhi and Disha frantically searching for something. Kiara and Sunny have gone along with Neha and Rahul to the park to play. All of them try to get the attention of the duo but are unable to. Finally Disha finds a file and calls Abhi immediately and both open the file with shivering hands. Seeing the discharge papers in with the photos of how Pragya was found in a bloody mess. It also has Kiara's birth certificate stating her as daughter of Pragya Abhishek Mehra and Abhishek Prem Mehra. Both started crying bitterly holding onto the file as if their life depended on it. They have never seen Abhi crying so much even at his parent's  and dadi's death. Alia tries to take and see what is in the file but both are not allowing anyone to take the file and none are able to console him. This sight reminds them of the time when Kiara said her first word as Mumma and Purab then cried just how they are crying now. All of them hear the horn of a car. Hearing that both Abhi and Disha get up wipe their tears and without speaking to anyone they see Purab entering. On seeing Purab Abhi loses his control and goes to catch his collar and asks him while looking in his eyes with pure rage " How could you do this to me? How could you do this to us? You could have just told us the truth. Why did you hide such a big truth from me. Why? Answer me dammit." Purab is confused as to why Abhi is angry at him now and Disha is also crying and looking at him as if he has committed someone's murder. He asks Abhi " What are you talking about bhai. What did I hide from you and why are you and Disha looking like as if you both have been crying?" Abhi takes the file in Disha's hand throws it at Purab and says " This is what you hid from all of us." On seeing the file in his hands Purab's gaze turns stony and he visibly flinches and everyone is able to his change in demaenour and are now more curious to see what is in the file.
