Chapter 4

We were all heading to the cafeteria to have lunch. I wanted to sit with either Uraraka or Kyoka, but then I saw Todoroki eating all alone. So I go up to him.

"Is this seat taken?", I ask. He shakes his head. So I sit down beside him. "I hope you don't mind me asking but what is your quirk?", I ask with a smile. "Half cold and half hot. I can create ice from my right side and flames from my left." I could tell he was annoyed by my questions but I persisted.

"I have one last question though",

"Hmm?", he responded.

"Why don't you use your left side? Your flames would help you to get a higher score in some of those tests."

That made him pissed. Like really really pissed.

"My father asked you to say that, didn't he. He paid you just to tell me the message. You're just doing this for him. I don't want anything to do with you."

I was really surprised. This was not the reaction I expected. He turned and got up with an angered expression. But, I was not going to be shown up by him for something I didn't do. So I stood up, took hold of his sleeve, and yanked him close to me.

"You know, it's pretty bold of you to assume what someone did. For your information, I'm not the type to take money to do something the other person wouldn't like, no matter how much is offered.", I said in a harsh tone in his ear. I saw his surprised face and walked away. I thought I did the right thing. But even if I didn't it wouldn't matter since its already done.

I kept walking on and stopped at a vending machine. I bought two juice boxes, one for my uncle and one for me. I went to the staff room and asked for Aizawa. Midnight pointed to where he was. I saw him peacefully curled up and sleeping in his sleeping bag. I quietly put it in the pockets of his sleeping bag. You'll be amazed at how much you could fit in there. The other teachers would have probably questioned my actions but since they knew I was his niece they didn't mind.

After that when I went to class I saw I was sitting next to the damn half 'n half. Well, that was something not to look forward to every day.

Class finally ended for the day so I packed up everything so I could return home. But just my bad luck, it started raining. Not that I minded it, I like it. It reminds me of my mom. Her quirk could let her control rain.

I was just about to ask Yaoyorozu to make an umbrella for me but Todoroki suddenly came to me and offered to share his umbrella. He was sorry for what he did earlier otherwise he wouldn't have approached me, so I decided to give him a chance.

At first, he didn't say anything and we were just silently walking in the rain. I was enjoying myself, putting my hand out of the shade of the umbrella so the drops could fall on it. Then he spoke up.

"I'm sorry."
