This is a work of fiction inspired by a couple of stories I read in this same site. If you wish to know which, seach for the following stories:

While I took my inspiration from these great stories, my work is original save for a couple of names that you might recognize if you've read the aforementioned stories.
The full story is already written, spanning 6 arcs (in five books) and over 351,000 words.
This first arc is free to read for all and is a rough sketch of the first book.

While I've checked this text for inconsistencies, plot holes and grammar, I might have missed something.
