Chapter six

I walk towards Alfred, he is a tall bald man, very very muscular.
'Buongiorno sir' I say to him with a smile trying to be friendly. This man can kill me only with one hand so I have to keep him in the friendzone.
'Good morning to you too miss'
I get in the car and wait for Mariah to come. After a few minutes she's here too.
'So, we already know where your friends live so drive Alfredo' Mariah says with a sweet laugh. I look out the windows trying to recognize this whole place. Where the hell are we? It seems to be a quiet town, there are a few people but not that much. Alessio hasn't told me much about him or his hometown.
'Mariah, Where will Alessio go?' I ask her curious. I don't know what kind of job Alessio has, maybe he's a boss of a company or a big man here.
Mariah seems nervous, she straightens her dress and looks at me. 'Uhm.. he's a boss. Of a company..' she says with a shaky voice.
I sigh, 'what kind of company?'
'We don't know, Alessio d-doesn't talk that much'
I can hear Alfred clear his throat.
Something doesn't feel right, I can feel it when someone lies. Maybe it's better to not know what Alessio's job is.

We arrived at Carlos and Andrea's house. I'm scared to show myself after yesterday. What will they think? Or worse, will they still be my friends? I knock on the door. I'm the corner of my eyes I see Alfred standing in front of the car. The door slowly opens, it's Carlos. He jumps in my arms and gives me a tight hug. I can feel my bruises hurt.
'Elena!' He says in shock. 'We thought we would never see you ever again!' Andrea gives me a hug too. She starts to cry.
'What happened?' She asks with tears in her eyes.
'My-my father sold me to Alessio, the man who took me to his house for money. It's complicated. The man is a living mystery and I don't know what to do'
'Baby!' I hear a familiar voice. Fernando gives me a hug. I try to get away but I can't, he holds me too tight.
'Are you okay?' He asks like he's worried. That man is unbelievable, lying piece of shit. But I need to act, if Alessio knows the truth.. im dead.

Andrea, Carlos, Fernando and I have spend a few hours together. I told them everything what happened. They are afraid too. But Fernando didn't say anything when I started talking about Alessio. He just sat there, nervously. I still don't know what he means with 'his capo'. does he work for Alessio? I never heard him talking about work or something. It's odd.

Mariah took me to the same store as yesterday. I still needed a dress for tonight, even tho I don't know what we're going to do. She talks to the cashier and let me look around a little. I guess escaping doesn't work.
'Mariah? Do you know what I'm going to do next week? You know at the dinner' I ask Mariah who's pretty busy with the woman who works here. I try to hear what they say, I guess it's about yesterday. Mariah tries to explain the whole situation.
'Mariah?'
She looks up and walks towards me. 'I'm sorry but what were you saying?' She asks politely.
'What has Alessio planned for next week? At the dinner..'
Mariah sighs and grabs a dress to look at. 'You know darling, I might be a close friend of Donatelli but he never talks. He keeps many, many things secret. The only thing I know is your going to have a fun night together. Nothing much'
I nod and grab a dress, it's a beautiful long light blue dress with a lot of sparkles.
'This one is pretty, right?'
Mariah's eyes almost sparkle. 'That's beautiful, you should try it on!'

I try the dress on, it fits perfectly. My curves look good and the dress is so long that it will cover my bruises. I look in the mirror, I can't believe I look so good. I never looked so good before. I know it's weird, but when my father got the money he didn't want to spend it. I got normal clothes, normal people have. I never understood why he would do that, I mean we got the money.
'Can I take a look?!' Mariah asks from outside the fitting room.
'Come in!'
Mariah opens the curtain and looks at me with big eyes, a smile appears on her face. 'You look beautiful my girl, Donatelli will think the same!'
I blush a little. I never felt so pretty before.
'We're totally going to buy this dress!' Mariah says with a laugh.

We went back home with the dress at the end of the day. Mariah, Alfred and I had a pretty sweet day, we went to a ice cream shop, a restaurant and some sweet stores with the sweetest persons. I look for Luca in the house. Alessio didn't show me the whole house yet so I want to explore some.
'Luca!' I yell. My voice echoes trough the whole building. 'Lucccaa!'
Someone comes around the corner.
'I-I'm sorry.. Yeez you let me run' Luca says out of breathe.
I laugh a little. 'I'm sorry Luca, I didn't mean to'
Luca smiles. 'So miss, what's my duty?' Luca asks nicely.
I laugh. 'First off all, call me Elena. Second.. can you show me this house. I mean since Alessio isn't here to show me maybe you can. I trust you'
Luca blushes a little. 'Of course I want to show you. Uhm where do you want to start?'
I look around. The only places I've been is the living room and the bedroom.
'Mayyybee we can start at the kitchen. I don't know..' I say to Luca. He nods and walks a little.
'The kitchen it is then!'
