Chapter thirty-two

Alessio's pov

I don't know what I just did but it felt right. Proposing to her is the one and only thing I've ever wanted. I mean being with her my whole life feels amazing.
Elena looks at me with big eyes, her mouth is open a little and her cheeks are peachy.
'Elena...?' I ask confused.
Elena sighs. 'Alessio... I...'
'I'm sorry for doing this to you, it's so stupid I shouldn't have done this..' I say while getting up. I sigh and rub my neck. Elena looks me in my eyes and gives me a little kiss on my cheek.
'I would love to marry you Alessio!' She says with a big smile. I feel happiness all over my body. I kiss her softly.
'You make me the happiest man off the whole wide world Elena!'
She smiles and walks towards the front door. 'Well... I want you to wait here for 10 minutes... I'll be back in a sec' she says while putting on her dress again.
'What are you going to do?' I ask her surprised.
She laughs. 'You'll see'

After 10 minutes she's back at the door. I open up and she stands there beautifully with her hands on her back.
'I got you something. Close your eyes..' She says while I close my eyes. This girl is full with surprises.
'Okay you can open your eyes now.... Surprise! Happy Birthday baby!'
I am shocked, a smile appears on my face. 'How did you? Nevermind. Thank you Bambi, I love you'
Elena hands over the present and looks at me with her big Bambi eyes. I open the present and look at it. It's a small necklace with her and mine initials in it.
'Do you like it. I wanted to give you something for your birthday and... this was the only thing I could find..'
I look at Elena with a smile. 'I love it Elena.. it's beautiful' I say while giving her a tight hug.
'Oh! We really need to go to bed now. It's already late!' She says.

'Where did you leave Kamiel?' I ask curious. Elena never keeps a sight out of her son. Elena takes off her clothes and jump in bed. 'With Gabriel.. he wanted to spend the night with his nephew so that we could do something fun'
I sigh. Gabriel. Why am I so jealous. Elena looks at me. 'Baby.. stop being like that. Your a great father and I told you that'
'Yeah I know but I'm worried about us... I mean your 25 I'm 33. What if I can't take care of our kids when I'm older..' I sigh.
'Baby, your never too old to watch the kids. Your still young. Stop being so insecure! I hate that when your insecure. Where is that man who always was confident about himself, or the man who kidnapped me because he knew I would fall in love with him, where is that man that deeply loves me and will be there for me and Kamiel. Where is that man Alessio!?'
I sigh and give her a kiss. 'I'm sorry... I really am. Good night Elena...' I say while walking away from her. Down the hotel is a casino.
I can feel her run after me.

'ALESSIO DONATELLI!' she yells. I stand still and slowly turn around. 'Get your ass here right now!'
I walk towards her with my head down. She lays her hands on my cheek and makes me look in her eyes.
'I love you Alessio Donatelli. And I'm going to be the best wife you've ever wished for. And you, your going to be the best father and husband I've ever wished for'
I smile and give her a kiss.
'I love you too bambi... I really do'
She smiles. 'There is my man... I really love you Alessio. I do. And I will never leave you! Never ever!'

'Uhm.. Mr. Donatelli' a woman says. I turn around while holding her hand.
'Anna?!'
She smiles and looks at Elena. 'Who is this girl?' She asks. I sigh.
'Anna we have talked about this.. it's almost 7 years ago and now your coming again! You know I'm done with you' I say a little pissed.
'Baby.. who is this?' Elena asks.
I sigh. 'This is Anna... my ex wife'
Elena looks a little pale. 'Wife!? I thought you never dated before...'
I nod and look her in her eyes. 'I never did but we were forced to marry each other when we were very young'
Anna looks a little pissed. 'Our families have been together for ages, I never thought your were going find the love of your life Alessio. Good job. Now it's a shame.. because I'm going to kill her... since your mother died-..'

Elena's pov

I listen to the words Anna says. I look at Alessio who's breaking down in pieces. Every time we figure out something and feel happy something different happens.
'Alessio...' I say softly with tears in my eyes.
Alessio looks sad and angry. He grabs Anna by her throat. 'You fucking-! You killed my mother! Your going to pay for this!' He yells.
I grab his arm. 'Alessio.. stop'
He lets Anna go and looks at me. 'We're going back to the apartment' I whisper.

We went back and Alessio burst in tears. 'Baby please don't cry' I say to him trying to comfort him.
'Don't! Don't tell me what to do!!' He yells. I back up a little bit and look in his eyes. He shakes his head and hugs me. 'I'm sorry I yelled at you.. it's not your fault. I love you'
I sigh and plant my face in his shoulders. 'I know.. I know how it feels to lose somebody. I lost my mom too..'
'But this is different. The woman I was married to killed my mom. I could never forgive myself for letting her out of my sight'
I look him in his eyes and give him a small kiss. 'It's not your fault either Alessio...'
