"You Akaike Howlett, are the love of my life."

(Paige's POV)

We climbed out of the car, well he did. I practically stumbled and fell before catching myself on the curb. Akaike deserves to be in a Nascar race or something. He cannot follow any driving rules or expectations whatsoever and if I had known that simple fact, I wouldn't have gotten in the car with him.

   We're here though.

"Ohhh, it wasn't that bad," Akaike said, walking over and rubbing my back as I was leaning down, trying to take a breath from all that anxiety.

"You. . . were going to kill us," I said in between each breaths.

"Technically, I wouldn't die," He said. I raised my head and gave him a cold glare. "Anyways, you know I would never do anything to put your life in danger!"

I just shook my head, putting it back down and sighed. "Alright. I'm good now."

"Finally," He said before sweeping me off my feet. I had let out a small yelp before laughing. He started to walk with me in his arms. "Are you happy?"

"Very happy," I said, looking at him. "Are you happy?"

"Eh," He said, which caused me to slap him in his arm softly, making him laugh. "I'm very happy. Because of you."

I sighed, rolling my eyes. Here we go with this again. "Not because of me."

"Yes, because of you. You're the only thing in my life that makes me smile, and I love that you make me smile," He said, rolling his eyes.

"Sounds kind of toxic; me being your only source of happiness," I said shrugging softly.

"Yeah, well, we also live in a school building with a whole bunch of horny teenagers in the middle of a hate epidemic," He said. "Nothing's healthy anymore."

I sighed, shaking my head. "If you see it that way then sure."

He looked down at me. "How do you see it then?"

I actually never thought about it. With everything going on at the school and in the world and with our relationship, I actually never thought about summing it up.

"I don't know really," I said. "I mean, yeah, the world isn't too fond of us after what he did, but before then, they never really saw us as equal. As of the school, that hasn't changed. We're all still the horny teenagers we were before we were trapped on campus."

Akaike just laughed but I placed a hand on the side of his face. "And as for us, I've never been more happy too. You're the reason why I make such beautiful music. You're the reason why I look forward to going to class. You Akaike Howlett, are the love of my life."

Akaike stopped walking and looked at me with his precious eyes and he leaned in for a kiss. It was long and passionate. The type of kiss you'd see in a movie but instead of watching it, I was living in it. The type of kiss that would make any girl jealous.

After removing our lips, Akaike just smiled. "I cannot wait to take you back home. I'm going to give you one mind blowing session."

I rolled my eyes and decided to get down, looking at the empty street. "Well before that, there's something I want to show you."

"Hm?" Akaike said from behind me.

I started to smile. Its been a while since I used my combinations of sound and music on public items. This should be interesting for me and for him.

The whole street was dark. Usually the lampposts would be lit but they wasn't. It was just an empty mysterious street with stores on the left and parked cars on the right.

Let's see what I can do about that.

I raised my arms and cupped my hands together. Placing my hands around my mouth, I decided to hum a soft note to myself. I saw that my fingers began to light up, which signaled that my powers were activating. The closet lamppost flickers a little bit with a dim light, but the louder I hummed, the brighter it got.

It was long after that the whole street was lit with lights from the cars and lamp posts with a single note I held with my voice. Quite frankly, I was amused. It felt good to see my abilities affect things in such a nonchalant way. It reminded me that I was benevolent and non harmful. When people usually get powers, the first thing they try to do is use it to cause harm to others.

   Me?

   No harm, just vibes.

I turned back to see Akaike just looking around with a happy look on his face before turning to me. He walked up and wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me close to him.

"I love you, Paige," He said, which sent butterflies through my stomach. I just smiled and leaned in for a kiss and watched the world around around us disappear except for the lights, shining in excitement at this moment.

That excitement though ended when the sounds of MRD sirens was not too far away...
