I take another bite of my pizza and continue battling an Orc Overlord on World Of Warcraft. I took a final blow at it from a distance and it died. My guild congratulated me and I smiled.
'Gotta go.' I typed. I feel like reading a book now. We said out goodbyes and I logged off, shutting down my computer.
I grabbed 'Divergent' and jumped onto my bed, bouncing before opening the book and beginning reading it for the fifth time. I wish Mother would get me more books.
My phone went off from the side table and I picked it up, hoping for an Instagram notification.
It was a call from an unknown number. I picked up and put the phone to my ear, and, with as much courage as I could muster, asked,
"H-Hello?"
"Is this Cassandra Delin?" A woman asked.
"Y-yeah."
"I'm sorry to say that your mother has been in a car accident. She has requested that you visit her in the hospital."
Hospital? Like in Pokémon?
"S-sure." I murmured.
"I'll send someone over to pick you up shortly." The line went dead and I stared in front of me in horror.
Today was the first day in eighteen years I would leave this house. I'll have to talk to real people and actually do stuff.
I shuddered at the thought, dismissing it as I threw on a grey sweatshirt. I let my long, black hair hang out the front of the hoodie, covering my left eye as I put the hood over my head. I walked into the living room and sat down, waiting for when the torture would begin.
