The thunder above was overwhelming with it's booming crashes and loud roaring as the rain plummeted onto the ship's deck. Men scrambled to lower the sails and continuously slipped on the puddles the heavy droplets left on the smooth boards of the large boat. Dark clouds covered the night sky from view, leaving the ocean in shadows of black night.

"Hoist the sails!" one man who wore gray and black camo yelled to the others."We cannot risk them being torn. We must beat this storm!"

"But how?" another man yelled back. "It's too strong!"

"Do you wish to die?" the man shot back.

The other man huffed and tugged the rope he was holding. He could feel the soaking chicken feathers on his onesie sag from the weight of the rain against him. Another man came up to help him and soon, the sails were hoisted. A different guy, a creature of green and large, crooked eyes tied one end of the sails together while a man in a moose onesie tied the other together. They slid down the mast and stood on the deck next to the other two.

"This storm is ridiculous," the frog man said. "We may never make it out of here alive."

"Just pray to the Moose Milk Gods we will," the moose man said.

"Everyone below deck!" the camo man yelled.

"But who will steer the ship?" the man next to the chicken man said, adjusting the cap on his head to block his eyes from the rain with the tips of his blonde hair soaked.

"I will," the camo man replied. "The rest of you, below deck! I'll keep this ship going."

A man in a deep blue shark onesie finished tying a rope to the mast and came over to join the others.

"Come on," he said, motioning for the others to follow. The group of men went down to the bottom of the deck while the camo man stayed above to steer the ship through the thundering storm and crashing waves. The man in the chicken onesie sighed and sat against the wall while the others chose their own spots to sit.

"I wish Gray will just listen to us," the shark man said. "He never does, and it always ends badly."

"Just pray to the Moose Milk Gods he will," the moose man murmured. "They can help, they always do."

"Is that your answer for everything?" the frog man huffed. "Your so-called 'Moose Milk Gods' don't exist! We have to rely on each other."

The moose man was about to argue when the ship suddenly lurched and thunder crashed loudly overhead. Over the smell of rainwater, the sharp stench of smoke filled the air. The man in the red vest glanced at the others before leading them up above deck where the camo man was. The sky was bright with flames and the clouds were covered with blackening smoke. The camo man was struggling to steer the steering wheel and the fire was beginning to eat away the wood around them.

"Gray," the one in the vest called to the camo man. "What happened?"

"The lightning struck too close to the ship," the camo man replied over the noise of the waves. "It started the fire."

"You should've let Lucas take charge!" the chicken man scolded. "He's a better commander than you'll ever be."

"Nevermind about that," the man in the vest turned to the chicken man. "We need to put this fire out before the ship is burnt to a crisp or it's going down. Mogii, take Shark and Unspeakable and go to Gray and put the fire out. I'll take Sabre and Moose and put the fire out on the sails before we lose control of the ship."

The group nodded their understanding and split to do their part. The man in the purple jacket took the shark and frog men towards the camo man to try and put the fire out that burned there while the man in the red vest took the chicken and moose man over to the sails. But no matter how hard they tried, the fire kept burning and the wood around them began to break. The air was beginning to get harder to breathe and waves began to slip higher towards the group.

"We don't have time," the one in the vest spoke up. "We have to get off the ship!"

"But, we can't!" the camo man exclaimed. "We're stuck in the middle of the ocean, we have nowhere to go."

"Sabre," the man in the vest ignored the camo man's retort and turned to the man in the chicken onesie. "Go get the smaller boat."

The chicken man nodded and hurried over to the edge of the ship. The waves were quite strong and jolted the ship, causing the chicken man to hit the ship's edge. He wheezed for a moment before grabbing a rope and slowly made a smaller boat lower to the ocean waves.

"Quick," he called to the others. "Hop in!"

The one in the vest made sure everyone hoped into the smaller boat before joining them. The chicken man was about to hop in after them when another lightning crashed into the boat, striking it's side opposite of him. The ship then began to sink; the chicken man was running out of time.

"Quick, Sabre!" the one in the vest called up to him. "Get off of there!"

The chicken man tried to hop down into the boat with the others, but the rope had a tight grip on his ankle. He struggled the loosen it.

"Hurry, Sabre!" the camo man called. The little boat had begun to drift away with the waves.

The chicken man tried again and when he finally got the rope loose, another bolt of bright light struck and everything went black.
