How it started

It was a Friday in the beginning of October when Haley called me and invited me to go work out with her.

On our way to the gym we had the radio on a local rock station , when the DJ said " We have your chance to win a vip pack for two to go see 5 seconds of summer."

"We have to try" I said

"Our shot of winning is one in a million , but I guess we could try.",replied Haley

We both dialed the number the phone rang and rang. A couple seconds later we heard the DJ talking to a contestant , I was devastated . " Now ", said the DJ " In order to win the tickets I need you to answer a trivia question about 5 seconds of summer"

"Ok" said the voice on the other line said .

" What is the name if the song these lyrics come from? Are you ready" said the DJ .

" Yes "

"Ok here we go.
Can I call wake you up on a Sunday late night I think we need a get away?"
The DJ read those lyrics out with his deep voice . " Now sugar can you tell me what song that those lyrics come from?"

"Umm" said the girl on the other line. How long do I have to guess?"

"5 more seconds" said the DJ " 5 ,4,3,2,1. Sorry your time is up"

"Wait what" then the line went silent.
I started yelling
"I'm so glad she didn't win ,a carrot like her doesn't deserve to go to their concert. She couldn't even name that song she's a freaken carrot ugh "

"Calm down Max " said Haley "If she lost then that means we still have another shot"

How could I have not thought of that of course. The DJ then said, " The lines are now open"

Haley and I dialed again , and after a few seconds my line went through

"Hi "said the DJ

"I'm on agghh"

"Just to review I'm going to ask you to identify what song these lyrics belong to. Are you ready?"

"Yes" I replied eagerly

"Here are the lyrics:
That mini van that you drive really gets me going if it feels like it right then it can't be wrong .
Do you know what song those lyrics belong to is?"

"Mrs. All American " I said super enthusiastic.

"You are correct , you have won!"

"What!" , I screamed

Then the DJ told me we were off the air and asked to come and pick up the tickets within three days I gave her some more info ,and then she hung up.

I started crying I was finally going to meet the boys of my dreams . " I am so excited" I told Haley "Will you go to the concert with me ?"

"OF COURSE", replied Haley

As soon as she answered we pulled into the gym parking lot.

"I honestly forgot we were going to the gym, i've been so excited about winning the tickets .I need to be super fit for when I meet the boys."

"Calm down", said Haley "The concert isn't for two weeks."

"What gym is this?" ,I asked .

"Remember ?" said Haley "your going to try my gym."

"Oh ya I replied as we got out of the car"

When we got in the gym the desk receptionist Paulina asked us a bunch of info. when she asked my name I said, "Cake Mashton"

"Maxwell!" ,Haley said pay attention

The only thing I could pay attention to was the fact I was going to meet the boys, and see them perform.
