Chapter 4

So today is the big day. My dad called me down to his new studio to sign paperwork to his new label " Musiqk City". I signed the dotted line and I jumped with excitement. He hugged me and kissed my forehead.

DeAngelo : It's only up from here baby. You have to put in hard work and dedication

Faith : Congrats honey, I'm so proud of you

Rihana : Congrats Brit Brat

Romeo : Congrats Baby sis

Zendaya : Way to go sis

As I hugged them all I saw them all looking behind me with smiles on their faces. I turned around and Jacques was standing there with a dozen red roses. Ariana stood next to him with a cake that said Congrats Bestie.

Jacques : Congrats Baby

Shade : Thanks baby, it's finally happened for me. I'm gonna make you all real proud

Ari : Girl you better

We all laughed and then grab some cake. After that my dad told me it's was time to get to work. I went in the booth and started working, time to prove I have what it takes.

Three Weeks Later

I've been In the studio nonstop these last few weeks. My parents have been coming down hard on me, harder than they did my siblings if you ask me. I didn't like being treated this way, but Ri told me they are just trying to brand me as an artist. So I continued to allow these shenanigans to go on. I'm currently singing the same bridge for the 500th time today because my dad keeps saying it's lacking something.

DeAngelo : Hey you need to put your all in this. I'm risking a lot to waste my time. Either your gonna show me your ready or your not.

I looked at him and started tearing up. My mom looked at me and tapped my dads shoulder.

Faith : Give is a minute

She walked into the booth and I refused to acknowledge her presence at first.

Faith : Listen, I understand you are new to this but you are starting at a disadvantage. Both me and your father are big starts. You have to come out swinging. I understand your nerves but I need that girl that was confident about signing to show in this music. You got this baby.

She walked out and my dad hit the track. I looked at him in an aggressive state and he looked back at me. I started singing and he was blown away. He had no idea my voice was this strong, hell neither did I.

Faith : Now that's what I'm talking about, that's how you record a hot record

DeAngelo : Good job, let's take a 15

I walked out the booth and listened to the play back. It was dope. I FaceTimed Ques but he didn't answer. I guess he's busy. I called Ari and she instantly answered.

Ari : Girl what the hell you want. I'm with my man

Shade :  Girl I was calling to let you here the track. And Heyy Mac

Mac : Wassup, that shit sound fire asf

Ari : Fren don't be tryna take me off the charts now

Shade : Can't make no promises girl. But I'll call y'all later

We hung up and my dad came back in

DeAngelo : That's it for today kid, I forgot your sister has a show today
