Hey, my name is Shade. Daughter of the music industry legends Deangelo and Faith Evans. My parents are a hand full, but you gotta love them. Then there is my sister Rihanna, she's the rebel child. She is an artist as well. Then their is my brother Romeo, he's the rapper of the family. Not the best one but he's pretty damn good.
Then there is my sister Zendaya. She's a model, actress, and singer. Kinda like Aaliyah, but she doesn't sound like her. Me and her are the closest of all my siblings. But no one compared to my bff Ariana or Ari as I call her. She is one of the most dopest artist of this generation. She is a goofball at times, but my bitch got hands. She stay ready
Then their is the love of my life Jaquees. He is my everything. We've been friends since Pre-K. We started dating in 6st grade and have been together ever since. He is a singer at the same label as my family. The only person who isn't an artist is me. I'm told my voice isn't ready for the world to hear. Everyone except Jaquees, he feels my voice has been ready since he got signed. We wanted to be like Bebe and Cece Winans.
Anywho, right now I just finished getting dressed and I'm on the way downstairs for breakfast. As I reached the bottom I waked into the kitchen and sat at the table. All my family was here, well except Rihanna. She was always the last one down. When she finally arrived we said grace and began conversation.
Deangelo : So, what's on everyone's schedule for today. I gotta get with the fellas to discuss the outline for the comeback tour
Faith : Well I have a meeting with my manager, then I have Rehearsal for the soul train awards. I gotta make sure my performance in perfect
Rihanna : I have a meeting with Fendi. Then a meeting with my tour manager. Then I have a photoshoot for my clothing line. And finally Rehearsal for the Anti tour part two
Romeo : Well I gotta meeting with my homies. We are planning a fire collaboration for my new single
Zendaya : I'm going dress fitting for the soul train awards. Then I have a photoshoot. Then studio session with Missy Elliot
Shade : And Im going with Jaquees and Ariana to the studio. Then to Rehearsal for the Soul Train Awards. Then we are going on a double date. So yea, I'll be following them around
Deangelo : Babygirl, your time will come. Just be patient
Rihanna : Yea, stardom is earned. You can't just wake up and be a star
Shade : I mean as many beds as you've woken up in it seems pretty easy to me
Everyone froze and looked at me. Zendaya started laughing, so naturally Romeo followed. My mom slammed her hand on the table and they both grew silent.
Faith : Now Shade, you apologies. Your sister worked just as hard as the rest of us. You have to be patient
Shade : For what. My voice will never sound like yours, like dad's. I'll never be RiRi, I can't rap. And Zendaya and me will never compare
Deangelo : Babygirl you don't need to compare yourself to any of the other artists in this room. You have a beautiful voice, and soon the world will hear it
Shade : Yea sure
And with that I got up and walked out. You can't imagine how sick I get off hearing then express their schedules. tours and everything else that comes with their stardom. I walk to my car. Midnight is her name. She is a 2018 Camaro. I got her for my birthday

Me and her are like best friends. That's until Ari gets in. As I pull up she is already walking outside. She looked cute in her little outfit.
Ariana : Hey bitch, how was breakfast
Shade : Aweful. I got into it with then again. But I really wish I could get signed already
Ariana : Oh you will boo
Shade : I guess
As we drove to Jaquees house I text him letting him know he had about 3 minutes until he needs to be outside. He text back saying he was waiting on us. Which I knew was a lie because we were now in front of his house and he has yet to come outside. So I FaceTime him.
Jaquees : Hey mama, I'm waiting
Shade : Your lying, I'm outside
He looked out his window and run outside. He was still putting on his shirt. He got in the car and we just looked at him. He gave us his billion dollar smile.
Jaquees : I love yall
Ariana : You lucky my girl in love with you, otherwise you'd be dead
Shade : Love you too, but you need to quit lying. A simple 5 more minutes would've been the best response
Jaquees : I'm sorry baby
Shade : I know
We drive to the studio. The whole time we listen to random songs. But a common artist we all love is Bryson Tiller. He is so DOPE. As we enter the studio the owner daps all of us up and tells us to go ahead in. When we enter we heard this groovey beat playing. There stood o e of the best Producers of all time. Chrix is his name. He produced all of the Labels artist. When he noticed is he stopped the track.
Chrix : Hey guys, wassup
Jaquees : Nun much man, just came to lay the voice overs for the soul train awards
Ariana : Yea, I'm here to work on a new track
Shade : I'm just here *smiles*
Chrix : Ight. Well Jaquees, you can actually head over to studio B. Faith is almost done, so you could catch the sound tech for the awards so that way he could already have them
Jaquees : Ok
Ariana : See ya later Quees
Chrix : Actually you could go to studio A Ariana. I got a dope track called Focus
Ariana : Ight, Shade you coming
Chrix : Actually I need her here
Shade : I'll meet you in a few
She walked out and he smiled at me. He played the track and asked me to sit.
Chrix : Listen I know you want a break bad, so I'm giving it to you
Shade : Are you serious
Chrix : As a heart attack
I ran and hugged him, you see Chrix always knew I could sing. He just said he could never find a sound for me. But the track is dope. Plus is so my style.
One hour later
We just finished laying the background vocals down, and this baby was coming together nicely. While I was trying to figure how the lead vocal should go, my mom walked in. She hugged Chrix and asked for a minute. He exited and she stopped the track and sat next to me.
Faith : Baby listen, I want to apologise about earlier. I know you feel like your the odd ball out of the group, but your day is coming
Shade : Mom, my day is already here. Chrix and me are working on a track right now. Then once it's complete, he is gonna take it to the label to show them I'm ready
Faith : Show me what you got
I smiled and hit play, when she heard it she kept and straight face. She showed no emotions so I didn't know if she liked it or not. When the end came in she cut the track, she then turned and looked at me
Faith : Baby, you need to......
Basically she gave me tips to make it better, and she gave me the vibe for the lead vocal. She called Chrix back in and they told me to go in the booth. Just as we started recording Jaquees and Ariana walked in. Ariana instantly started vibing. Jaquees smiled and grooved as well. When I finished Chrix asked if I felt it was good. I told him yea and they told me to exit the booth. We mixed and mastered it, and he said he would show the label first thing in the morning. With that being said we headed to rehearsal for Jaquees
