Smarter then you think

Alex had changed jobs since she moved into the pound with the ducks. She was listing to her headset as she walked. She knew the ducks had practice and wanted to get some fresh air so she didn't bother them. As she walked she started to hum to the music as she headed towards the museum.  As she headed into the museum she didn't notice anything out of the normal at first. It wasn't until she walked fully in heading towards an exhibit and removed her earbuds. She paused and looked around. She noticed that even for the museum it was extremely quite normally there would be low murmurs of people talking about the art or even kids giggling.  But it was there was nothing. If she didn't know any better she would think that she still had her earbuds in. 

Alex quietly walked to make sure her steps were soft so she wouldn't be spotted if something was going down. She froze when she got into a section from the dark ages hearing voices. They were voices that she never heard before. As she went to go look around the corner and noticed three shadows. As she listened to the conversation she felt a cold chill run down her back. She heard 'those ducks' come up in the conversation. She knew that this wasn't a good spot to be in and looked around to see if she could get back out with out being spotted. But it was to late she heard 'How did a human get in'.

Wraith appeared behind Alex looking down at her while Seige and Chameleon walked towards her.  As Chameleon walked towards her he examined her. "What should we do with her?"

Seige smirked watching her to see if there was any fear on her or any begging to let her go. "I say we destroy her and get our mission done with for Lord Dragaunus."

Wraith shook his head. "If we destroy her its more luckily will bring the ducks. I say we bring her to Dragaunus i'm sure we could use her to do some of our dirty work with out being noticed."

Chameleon nodded to wraith's idea. "Sounds perfect to me I'll get the rope." he ran to where they were working and came back with rope and tied her up. Which was a bit relieved that she didn't put up a fight. 

Seige went back to head to work and looked at Chameleon. "You watch the human while Wraith and i get the job done right."

Chameleon watched as wraith and Seige left the room and crossed his arms. "Why do i have to baby sit the human?" They were already out of ear shot when he asked the question and looked at Alex. He still thought it was kind of odd she didn't put up a fight like others most likely would. 

Alex shruged some looking to him. "Beacuse they don't know what your full potential would be."

Chameleon tilted his head turning to face Alex. "Yeah and what would you know about potential."

Alex shifted some. "Well i know your like a lizard ."

Chameleon crossed his arms. "They don't call me chameleon for nothing."

Alex looked up a bit as it thinking. "Intresting."

Chameleon tilted his head. "What makes being a chameleon interesting?"

Alex shifted some. "Well looking back at the story of humans there are a few of Chameleons being messangers of gods."

Chameleon dropped his arms hearing chamelons worked with gods. "Oh?"

Alex nodded shifting some. "Yea in Bantu mythology the Chameleon is the origin of death. The chameleon was to give the message to man that they would never die but the chameleon took his time and lizard got to men and told them they would die so when chamelon came they thought that he was bringing death." She shifted again. "also it was seen as bad luck and bringer of evil."

Chameleon was in awe to the thought humans had so much on a creature.  He shifted to sit near Alex wanting to hear more of what others stories humans had of chameleons."Really?"

Alex nodded smiling seeing him interested in her stories. " Agemo was the reason Olokun excepted the defeat to the other god." As she talked she could see Cameleon was getting lost in her story and not noticing what was going on around him. She has seen a device fall onto the floor when chameleon had wrapped her up. As she told her stories she slowly snuck it into her bag at the same time hitting one of the new additions to her phone tonya put in. 

Back at the pond as the team wrapped up there practice the ducks rose a brow when there wrist communicator started to go off. 

Tonya looked to her wrist communicator and opened it. "The communicator says that she is at the musume."

Nosedive tilted his head. "And why should we see that as something odd? She hangs there a lot."

Duke shook his head changing out of his uniform. "I don't trust it she wouldn't set off the GPS if it wasn't something important."

Wildwing nodded. "Yea she isn't Phil who would put us on a goose chase for a photo shoot."

Nosedive sighed softly. "I don't think all of us should go though it could be something small."

Wildwing nodded. "I agree so Grin and Duke you guys go check it out. You guys will respect the musume and try your best to keep things protected instead of being a quick draw."

Duke nodded to wildwing. "Sounds good. Come on Grin lets go." They headed out and headed towards the musume. When they got to the musume they noticed things didn't seem right. "This is a little too quite even for my taste."

Grin nodded. "Things seem to still like when something is not in balance."

As the guys walked in they could hear voices. They could tell who it was they knew the voices as well as they knew there team mates. They could hear Seige and Wraith talking about getting crystals. As they walked they came into a hall were they could see Alex sitting on the floor tied up and talking to Chamelon.

Duke watched as Chamelon looked like a kid sitting in story time. "What is going on there?"

Grin looked to Duke and shurged slightly. "Perhaps she is creating a distraction."

Duke nodded and headed with Grin to where they heard Seige and Wrath's voices. Once they got ot the area they had there typical fight. After some fighting dust settled with the the lizards disappearing. 

Duke side putting his hilt back onto his shoulder and sighed. " Great they left and we don't know how to find them."

Girn went to untie  Alex and to make sure she was ok. "Are you harmed?"

Alex shook her head no. "No i'm fine but thank you." She smiled when Grin helped her to her feet. She then looked at duke and held up the communicator she had picked up from when chameleon dropped it. "wouldn't say that duke."

Duke rose a brow seeing the communicator. "Wait is that?"

Alex nodded. "Yea it fell when they tied me up. Thought if i distracted chameleon i could snag it and not be noticed. I'm sure tonya could find away into it."

Grin smiled and gently patted Alex's back. "That was wise thinking Alex."

Alex smiled and nodded. "Hey i'm more just a friend of the ducks i have my moments. Let's head home and get this in Tanya's hands." She smiled as she followed duke and Grin out. She was glad things ended it the way they did. And she was glad she might be able to help find Dragonus and make things better.
