My muscles ache
My limbs worn sore,
My feet barely dragging me,
Against the cold hard floor.
My hair in knots,
My nails scraped clean
My eyes closed shut,
Trying not to scream.
My mind in a maze,
My heart stretched out
My body begging desperately,
Just to let out a shout.
My eyes bleeding tears,
Fighting against my fears.
My fists closed tight,
Continuing to fight.
Fighting a battle,
That rages within myself.
For I sit still,
A book and pen in hand.
Feeling these emotions,
that no one can understand.
