The team progressed through the cave environment, slowly but surely. The cave was slippery and surprisingly twisty, the place was just generally chaotic. Everyone was constantly falling, exception for Lycanroc, who's feet stayed planted to the ground as if they were magnetized to the floor. Suprisingly, Marshall was the one who tripped the most, and he always thought he had the most balance over himself.

"How is ice-" Marshall fell again, interrupting his sentence. "So slippery?!" He said with a slight irritation.

"I'm not sure. It's not that hard to walk on ice, Marshall." Kylie said. She's only slipped once.

"Oh whatever, Kylie. You'll get yours." Marshall retorted.

Lucas laughed at their antics, Lycanroc snickering a little himself as Marshall fell again while getting up. He quickly rose to his feet, pausing momentarily, before he began his slow walk

"So, does anyone know where we're supposed to go?"

"I assume to the west. But how do we get there? The cave is almost impossible to traverse. Zorro said it's a pain but she didn't bother to tell us where to go." Lucas said.

"We'll just have to try our best." Kylie said.

"Alright.. Let's move, guys." Lucas said as everyone pushed on. They came to a crossroads. They took a random path. They traversed for a moment until they came to another crossroads. Or rather, the same one.

"Of course we're going in circles." Kylie groaned.

"Let's take a different path."

They walked down another path and continued down the lane. The road didn't lead back to the crossroads, but instead a new puzzle. "Seriously?"

"We don't have a 'mon that knows Strength. Let's just take the left-most exit" Marshall said as they did as told. Going through the exit they came to more winding paths, as if the puzzles were everywhere they went. As they continued along, they heard a faint growling.

"What was that?"

"It's a growl."

"Well no duh, what made you think so?"

Lycanroc started to growl back. The noise-maker revealed themselves to be a Jolteon, with a small Eevee at his side.

"Hey, lighten up Lycanroc..It's just a Jolteon. I think that's it's kit.." Lucas said.

"We're ever sorry for bothering you." Marshall said to the Jolteon, unsure if it understood. "But..do you know the way out of here?"

The Eevee perked up, hopping around presumably her father. Then, she headbutted Lucas's leg, and then ran toward the way they had come. The Jolteon also followed, running after the small kit. They made a couple of turns, most of them being split pathways whereas the other pathway the group did not take led most likely to dead ends or cave ins. They made it to the end of the cave, where they saw a steady stream of afternoon light flowing in..

"Wow! That Eevee knew the way out!" Kylie said with a smile.

"That's really good...at least we didn't run into Team Lunar." Marshall added. He looked down to thank the two Pokémon, but they had gone. Surprised, he looked into the cave and forest. "They left as fast as they came." Lucas said. "It's not a big deal. They were just two kind Pokémon. Wild Pokémon are nice too." Marshall said as he huffed a small sigh. "Let's just get to the next town and the third Gym." He said. "We've got-"

"Hey, stop right there!"

"Not again.."

Two Lunar Grunts arrived, springing out of the forest.
