Stiles was sitting at his desk, waiting for Malia to finish getting ready so they could leave for Lydia's party, as his mind started to wonder off he thought about everything he had been through in the past year, everything they had all been through. He thought of the countless number of times he had had a near death experience, he let out a small laugh as he couldn't believe that all that had happened in just one year, deadpools, demons and darachs he thought, then the small smile on his face disappeared, as he started to think about Allison.
Even though Scott had told him a million times it wasn't his fault the guilt still tore him up every single day. He thought about it all the time, he remembered everything that he had done while he was possessed by the nogitsune, but now all he wanted to do was put it behind him and move on to the new year, but still Stiles couldn't help but wonder, what if? What if Scott hadn't been bit? What if he had been strong enough to stop the nogitsune?
He had never told Scott this, but sometimes he would find himself wishing Peter had burned in the Hale house fire too.
He was rummaging through his drawer looking for his phone when he found something else, a flower. It was the corsage he had given Lydia the day of their first dance together, he had found it on the lacrosse field. He looked at it and smiled, and all though the past two years had been full of tragedy he thought of one of the good things that came out of Scott being bit, he became friends with Lydia. He gently placed the flower back in his drawer grabbed his phone and got up.
"Stiles, I'm ready to go." Malia said walking into his room, she saw the look on Stiles's face and grew concerned.
"Stiles? What's the matter?"
"What? Um, what do you mean, nothing's wrong."
"Stiles, you should know by now I can tell when you're lying. C'mon you can tell me, I mean isn't that how this whole boyfriend, girlfriend thing is supposed to work?
Stiles smiled at Malia then sighed,
"I just miss her that's all. After all she was my friend."
"Miss who?"
"Allison."
