Episode 27

"Row, row, row your boat gently down the stream! Meristin, Meristin, Meristin, Meristin! Life is but a dream!"

Ratshi and Tintin laughed after singing together while Meristin continued to prepare the documents she must mail to one of her clients.

On her way out of the post office where she usually sends her work-related files, Meristin saw a familiar face.

"Hello, Mr. Trimmittee." she greeted him. "Business brings you here, too?"

"No, I'm sending a personal letter on behalf of a friend," he replied.

"Stay here," Jotham told Patricia as he placed her on the passenger seat.

"Here's one of your luggage bags," Anselmo, General's father, said.

After loading all his things to the van he rented, Jotham uttered: "Thank you, Tito."

"Take good care of yourself."

"Almost everyone in this place has already left," Moniqe told Anselmo when he came back inside their son's unit after helping one of his neighbors move some stuff out.

"Gen's things are still here," her husband replied. "Let's wait for him a little longer."

Anselmo held Moniqe's hands and combed her hair using his free fingers.

"Have we failed to do our duties as their parents?" she asked in a heartbroken voice.

"Zenith has turned out to be a charming lady and General a fine man. Our children grew up well."

Moniqe quickly took her phone out of her bag when she felt it vibrating.

"Ma, are you not home?"

"Zen, I'm here with your Papa at General's apartment."

"What are you doing there?"

"We received a letter from your brother this morning."

"That's impossible."

Zenith hurriedly went back inside Epiphany's car.

"What happened?" Blanco asked her.

"I need to bring the plants to a friend's place. Sorry for the extended inconvenience," she told him and his mother.

"It's okay. Where are we heading to?"

"To the mall."

General felt a stinging pain in his marked palm.

"It's going to hurt even more later."

General wanted to yell at Trimmittee all the malicious accusations that Nicholas had written in the journal, but he tried a trick he previously used against Aling Shirley.

"I know you needed something from me," General said.

Trimmittee nodded before he walked towards the gate of the house before them.

"I need not only something from you," he said before he pressed the doorbell twice. "I need everything that you have, General."

"You need to come with me," Zenith told Shana as soon as she entered the playhouse.

"What stuff are in those bags?" Shana asked while she was making her way out of the counter.

"Can you ask me those questions later? We are running out of time, Ms.Shana."
