It's was so damn cold I swear I couldn't feel my head to the tip of my toes.

I let a harsh breath which turned into a breathy mist. I looked down at my watch and thought what the hell Lilly why are you taking so long.

My auburn hair was matting in my face and my hands started to wrinkle.

A bellowing noise revved up up and a small figure was coming at me I winced, my eyesight wasn't 20/20 vision so I was trying to make out the shape.

Before I knew it a car was coming towards me, STRAIGHT towards me and it looked like it wasn't going to stop.
I screeched and plunged to the left face flat in the icy grass. I lifted my head and spat cold grass out of my mouth I turned to see where I was standing was where exactly where I could have been ran over by no other than Lilly Heskings.

Lilly is my BFF but the thing about her is she is as daft as a squirrel right in the eyes of an eagle. She's oblivious to people and their feelings.

I got up and gave her the most disarming glare and walked right up to her. She was looking at a Map and nodded her little blue pixie cut. She the looked up at me " oh hey Naomi soz I was late".

She looked at my for a response but I just kept quiet with my jaw clenched. After a while I spoke up " You nearly killed me either with frostbite or being ranover but I doesn't matter anyways. I hopped into the car and slammed the door.

Lilly looked at me for a few seconds , then she gave me a big hug. " I'm sowwy Naomi olami I didn't mean to kill you!" Soon as she said that the puppy eyes were drawn with a little pout. I couldn't resist it Lilly was ridiculous. We both started to laugh at how quickly it escalated.

"Ok quit the goof I'm hungry and mum will freak if I'm not home soon". As if on cue Lilly hit the gas and did a wheelie, I screeched and cursed her. " Sorry Poochie" a frowned as I remembered the embarrassing nickname Nick Glassios gave me when I shook let a wet dog at phoebes house during the water fight three years ago.

Before I could reply Lilly was already speeding away. What could I do I have been friends with her since kinder! We both hated Sabrina dawn and both look teletubbies. Our personalities are different I guess it's just how we get along so well.

Lilly is a tall girl who's quite pale with which gave her the nickname "rainbow albino" because of her skin colour and hair stupid grade fours made it up.

She's bad ass but she's not that girl that's always in your face and proud. She's nice and loveable I guess it's just the insensitive side of her. She's artsy and like touch rugby she's amazing at guitar and we have a band called aerobicsitics i thought it was pretty stupid but I don't get a say in what the bands future could be. Man no democracy these days.

Then there's me Naomi Hopkinson, I'm petite tanned with auburn hair and green eyes that apparently "could kill a man" I'm quiet but I talk to people and consider social and adorable ugh I hate it. I play basketball and I'm a major in jazz dance I play the piano, sing and get a's in every subject.

I used to get teased for it but I guess since I'm in year 10 everyone is a little more mature. As you see we're quite different and people always ask me how we get along. Honestly I don't know but all I know is that she's always there for me when I'm down and we are always laughing at the lamest jokes catching up on gossip and living life together.

The car came to a brief halt I choked on my seatbelt as i nearly went flying out. Lilly did one of those giggle snorts I could have strangled her like homer does to Bart and watch her beg for mercy as I laugh with pure evil but I'm saving it for another time.

I unbuckled my seatbelt and got of the the red commodore and briskly walked up to my front door and did a two beat knock. I turned back to my friend who was still snorting in the car " can u get out already!! I'm seriously going to heat your sorry butt!"

She immediately stopped and came over to me she knows when I'm dead beat serious. The door flew upon to my mums warm smiling face. " Welcome back honey!!"

I grinned "mum I've only been gone for a 8 hours". "Aww hunny you know I'm just playing with you! She planted a wet kiss on my cheek I winced at the corner of my eye Lilly seemed to be enjoying the utter embarrassment I was going through.

"Wish I had my camera" she grumbled, " come again ?" I widened my eyes as she grinned and stepped into my house soon as mum literally skipped away without any realisation if what was going on. "Man I love your mum she's just so...." "Adorable?" I finished her sentence. "like youuuuuu" she grabbed my cheeks and squeezed them as I gave her annoying hands a slap.

Lilly retreated her hands "which side of the bed did u wake up in?" " idk maybe it was the fact I have to see you again?" Lilly playfully kicked me. "Owww" we both laughed and grinned at each other. " you coming in or not gosh and I thought I was the guest?" I rolled my eyes as I stepped into the house.

Lilly walked ahead of me in a rush, " wait up!" I called. I heard a squeal I sniggered you don't hear Lilly squeal now and then. I walked a bit faster to see Lilly and one of our other best friends Ciara. Ciara was short with baby blue eyes and blood fluff all wavy hair.

Ciara is cute but she's full of sass she always gets into trouble and starts fights with others. It's not that bad she's completely loveable she's understanding she never interrupts you unless she's fuming mad that Sabrina Dawn wore the same outfit as you,

Shes an art major she's amazing at capturing life at it's delicate moments she fusses over a lot of things and she's crazy of bows and engine things pretty much the opposite to Lilly.

"Naomi!!!!" Ciara screeched as she gave me a warm hug, " how's your hols going?" " good I guess what about you Ci Ci? " oh I just came back from Paris" " oh wow that's amazing".

The girls and I talked about how our holidays were going Lilly just came back form an adventure camp and Ciara was just standing on the Eiffel Tower 2 days ago it's like everyone is having a good time except me.

"What about you Nae?" Lilly asked. " oh um you know just around the city shopping we are going down to Rye tommorow and you guys are coming how great is that!!" I expected them to be excited but they smiled sweetly.

"You really didn't do anything on the Holidays did you?" I sighed "no". It was silent for a moment and we were all waiting for someone to say something interesting. "So how did your interview go?" Ciara perked
"Good but idk if there interested" i looked down in doubt a lot I just never expected anything amounted form me.

"Shutup your amazing their definitely going to get it your so experienced and your just ugh!" Ciara and I laughed at Lilly's comment. "Thanks Lil" " Hey Naomi I just want you to know you are an amazing dancer you deserve this career why else wouldn't I have picked you up?"

"Wow thanks Lilly" I said in a chuckle "come on girls lets go to the living room". They agreed as we all walked in together I thought maybe I do have a chance in the dancing life. I bumped into something and fell backwards.

I gasped in shock as someone grabbed me and pulled me up. I looked up to the most gorgeous brown eyes and the grape of tight muscles around my fragile body. Then the most reassuring sound of " Are you ok?" Escaped his lips and I think I nearly fainted, no died in the eyes of this angel.
