Overated love

Great start to the fun...

" I'm not sure," Clint replied I laughed. "Silly I'm not talking to you of course you don't know!" I lightly punched his arm. He smiled a sheepish smile. "Oh man it's just getting worse!" I exclaimed. "Well did you call and tell them you would be late due to a wombat?". I gasped I totally forgot how stupid of me.

I unlocked my phone to 8 mis calls from mum, my phone must have been on silent the whole time. I called mum I was preparing to get a few yells from her. The dialling stopped. "For goodness sake where are you!" "Mum I'm at the camping spot there was a crash we had to pullover."

I had to lie she wouldn't believe me over a wombat. "Honey we were worried sick for you we called the police ..." " you called the POLICE!!!" I exclaimed. This was embarrassing enough and the fact that the police was involved? Great. "I'm sorry I was worried.. " "mum can everyone just come back to the camping spot please?"

It was quiet on the other end when my mum spoke, " is everything ok though?" " yes yes it's fine just please come". "Ok honey see you in 5 mins ok?" "Ok", I hung up and put my phone away. " "What was that about" ,Clint asked. "Mum just got worried and called the police I told her everything and she's coming back now." Clint was quiet taking it all in.

"Is everything ok now?", He asked again. "Yeah don't worry about we were only missing for half an hour my mum just stresses to much." "Well ok, when are they coming?" I sighed he asked a lot if questions, "their coming in 5 minutes so let's just sit down and relax." He nodded as we both made ourselves comfortable and sat down on the warm sand.

It didn't lasts us that long to get uncomfortable the sun was scorching and I felt like a chicken on the grill. I pulled out some sunscreen out of my handbag. Clint was looking at it. I laughed and squeezed a blop onto he's hand. I mean he could've asked? I then rubbed myself with sunscreen everywhere but my back I couldn't reach it.

I tried to reach it. Nup . Again but in I just couldn't and I know I was making a fool out of myself. Clint saw and laughed and I glared at him. He then stopped and said "do you want me to put it on for you?" I raised an eyebrow he wanted to put sunscreen on my back! Hell no he had his guitar next to him.....

"Oh come on I'm not going to do anything to you". I chuckled , "I know you won't but it's weird." He stared at me grinning those eyes... "Fine". What on earth Naomi are you are letting a boy rub sunscreen on your back you are not like this! But I couldn't just grab him and throw him off me I already got into the mess.

He splatter sunscreen his palms and slapped it on my back. It wasn't too bad I guess then he started massaging my back my cheeks went warm. The massage was good but pretty embarrassing to be massaged so good. Finally he finished and I nearly let a sigh come out but i shut my mouth and thanked him. "No worries". I smiled and we just stared at each other.

He broke the staring thing we had and asked about the camping site. I told him about how my mum would drive with us here with my siblings and go fishing when we had bad weekends. "Fishing? Isn't that a dads job?" I winced at the sound of "dad" , "yeah". I looked down in anger did he have to be so nosy!!

"Omi gosh I'm so sorry I didn't mean I know you didn't have a dad I didn't mean to offend you ... " what if I don't have a dad!!" I snapped at him. He moved back in shock, "I don't need one anyways". He stared at me and sighed, " I'm sorry you obviously don't need one you are a strong girl who takes care of her family you don't let people push you over and you protect others."

I looked up to him did he really mean that? I looked at his eyes, " I'm sorry i just get a little sensitive when people ask me stuff like that." "Don't worry it's totally understandable I'll never ask you thinks like that I mean it's your personal life. Of course you don't want a nosy boy finding out." I smiled at him and just stared back.

I saw a pile of sand and threw it at him for no reason which hit him right in the chest. He gasped as I rolled around giggling. Then he took a sand pile and landed in my hair. I gasped as I felt the grainy bits in my hair slowly fall off I got up and looked at him.

"You really did not just do that Clint Ashton?" He grinned, "Maybe I did Naomi Hopkinson maybe I did." I grinned and rolled my hands into the motion of the grainy sand in my palm. "This is so on!!"

It immediately became a battlefield first I strikes him at the hip then he striked me in the stomach, then he's leg, then my foot. We kept going on then we both fell down in the sand from too much sand being thrown.

We giggled and rolled around with undying laughter. When a voice was heard we both shot up. A group of people came towards us. We gathered our things and hid behind some trees. We were so quiet I could here the wind blowing.

"Hello Naomi, Clint?" It was mum. We both stepped out which obviously scared my mum and Ciara to death. They fell on the floor screaming. I shrieked too. Pretty scary when two people start screaming right in your face.

We all then started to laugh, mum the loudest. "You two could make it in a haunted house!" We all laughed again. "Are you guys ok?" Mum asked, she was a very concerned woman. "Yeah you know it was just a road accident". I grinned at Clint and we both smiled.

Mum didn't see it all, "Well it's 11:00am lets get unpacked then we are going to the mall today. Lastly we go to grandmas for dinner. So let's get a move on." We all started to walk to the car I sat in the front with mum as she drove us to our "secret" hotel.

I was so excited to see grandma tommorow! Omigosh grandma!! I missed her so much I was so depressed when dad left she was always there to comfort me.She always told me no matter what happens between my mum and dad, they will still love me and care of me.

She always said that love is complicated. Some people always had a high opinion about love or that person might end up crumbling instead. She took care of our family and even housed us when mum couldn't pay for the mortgage.

After all I've been through I thought love was overrated, I mean you literally spend your life trying to love someone who may not even love you back, might be cheating on you or having a fantasy over someone else. It's just a hoax loves not real.

But then again love was like a web you kinda get stuck in it because of your desires. But the more you try to get out if it the more you get tangled in it. DEEP in it I don't want that happening to me.

The car stopped and I climbed out. I gasped at the beautifully sparkling hotel. "No way mum!" She giggled and nodded. I grabbed Ciara who was also shocked and ran into the big beautiful doors with our luggage, then I went back and grabbed Clint as well.

Hey guys so what do you think about how Clint and Naomi got along and the dazzling hotel!! Please give me feedback, I know my spelling is really bad sorry about that. I was able to get 4 chapters done today. This one was the hardest I had to quickly make them friends and stall the chapter for a while. Sorry is it's a bit boring because of that.
