Walking swiftly towards the guest chamber, Dev entered and found the crowd clogging the gateway towards the stairs. He clutched the flowers tightly altogether and tried to make space to surpass the girls ganged up there without meaning them any unwanted touch. There were few girls only speaking gibberish to each other, Dev whisked his way out from them where he found a girl in grey saree with her head down cleaning something from her clothes, he stood there merely for a second or two and just when he raised his right leg up to move forward the furious idiot girl beside  him turned towards him to confront  and that sudden movement at the same time lead to their legs tangled and made  him falter with disbalance and technically hop on the girl in front of him.

"What the...." He shrieked with the sudden fall, the flowers got thrown from  his hand flying in the air and immediately a pair of hands held him firm and stopped him from falling. He looked at her and she at him. Faces tensed amazed and freaked. The flowers fell on them and on the floor. One rose fell on his right ear and then touching his right cheek fell on the ground but the thorn pricked him a little while making it's way which lead in oozing of a  drop of blood in his cheek.

Those pairs of eyes, those two banks of river which made the emotions flow between them nonchalantly, met again. Before they stop it, the emotions started streaming again, like they found the right pathway. There was no space for tears, no one wanted to blur the sight after all. She loosened her grip on his hand while he tightened his on hers. Her left hand raised slowly and touched the little wound he got in his cheek and wiped the blood out.
That....was actually the reality checker which brought them both back in the real situation.

She stepped back immediately while he hung his head and touched his cheek.
How come she is here, if she was to be here he would have never came. He could see the pain in her eyes, albeit she hid it right after with her signature neutral countenance but he could see it. Her touch ignited all the buried fire inside him. While he kindled the love she engraved in the deep of her heart.
This was not good. This shouldn't have happened. A fresh wound hurts, but the old wound scratched again.....causes ache plus the memories.

He decided to not say anything and just go but she took him by surprise. She held his wrist and stopped him from going, he looked at her and then everywhere but her.

"How's is your wife?"

Ears got stunned, would be an understatement. She knew....! How on fucking elephant she knew about Natasha. Maybe this is why she didn't try to reach him, maybe she knew the whole story why he married Natasha,maybe she knows about Baba's demise too, oh god he should be happy or upset about it. Is there....is there a hope of getting back with her..?
Oh no no no no no ..how can he be so cheap and disgusting...he is married for heaven's sake and here he is thinking of getting back to his ex...well...was she even his ex? Who was she? Love of life? Or love but not wife!

" You can simply say good or excellent or perfect...what is making you think so much Mr.Dev Dixit?"

His trail of thoughts broke, she seems to be cool. But how she can be, was he the only one to be in love with her so much that he couldn't move on till now? He is thinking again, he need to reply.

"Umm...yeah, she is good sonak.."

"Uh-uh....Miss. Sonakshi Bose, learn to respect the presitigious Mr. Dixit, might offend your boss someday" she said leaving his hand and making a move towards him. He felt the punch in his heart but wanted to hug her right there. That would have been worse because then...he would have been owing an explanation to both ladies at his service.
