Raimon looked down, the town was empty, not a soul to be seen, usually people were bustling about, going shopping and playing outside.

The balloon bumped, and landed on the driveway of his house.

He jumped out and onto the orange pavement.

"Home, sweet home!" Ramion sighed, walking towards the building.

His family followed, and they rushed inside. Jamey immediately closed all the curtains and bolted the door shut. The house was now bathed in an eerie darkness.

"Mom! We need to see!" Matoa objected, switching on a brown mushroom lamp.

Jamey sighed, "We're in lock down, don't you see, Matoa!"

"Why?" Ramion asked.

"I don't know. But I do know that we need to keep the house locked," Jamey explained.

Matoa rolled her eyes..

She then ran off towards the study.

Ramion frowned, and followed her into the room.

He found her seated at the desk, a look of thoughtfulness painted on her face.

"Matoa, are you alright?" he asked.

"Oh," she said, just noticing him, "yeah I'm fine, just thinking..."

"Oh. What about?"

"Why there's a lock down," Matoa breathed.

"Ohhh!"

Ramion sat down, grabbing a few books.

"What do you think is happening?" he whispered.

"Well...I think we've been threatened...by Matrik..." Matoa replied.

"Matrik? That makes no sense, do you have any proof, I mean the lock down probably is about some angry gnomes or something," Ramion explained.

"Maybe." Matoa said, "I'll find out."

She stood up, and walked to the window. She jumped.

*

Matoa landed on a patch of soft cloud grass and began to run.

I need a watcher fairy, oh please, I need one, God! She thought as she slowed to a stop.

She checked her surroundings, she was in the dirty shopping district, perfect. Watcher fairies loved to steal.

As if on cue, Matoa noticed a glinter and the sound of flapping wings beside the rundown makeup store.

"Ahh ha!" she cried, "A fairy!"

The fairy sped off.

"WAIT!" Matoa yelled, "I'm not here to bring you to jail! I just have a question!"

The fairy fluttered over, her blue hair swaying in the wind.

"H-hi?" she greeted, cautiously.

"Hello!" Matoa chirped, smiling.

"Didn't y-you w-wa-want to-to ask me something?" the fairy stammered.

"Oh, yes, that!" Matoa explained, "I was just wondering, if you have seen anything on Matrick coming or something?"

The fairy's face brightened and she moved closer to Matoa.

"Oh yesss! All us fairies know! Finally I can spill the beans!" she cried.

She stretched her arms and began to speak.

The fairy talked about how Matrik stormed into a council meeting, and gave a warning. She told Matoa about the old man, and the large battle.

Matoa gasped.

"So thats what happened... I was RIGHT!" Matoa shrieked, clapping her hands, "Thanks!"

Matoa ran off and soon reached the house. She clambered through the study's window. Her skinny body barely slipped through.

"Hia!" she greeted.

Ramion was sitting in the office's chair, and jumped when Matoa entered the room. She giggled and sat down.

Ramion inhaled, "What was that about?"

"Nothing! I was just trying to find a fairy. It went great," Matoa informed.

"A fairy?" Ramion said, "Where?"

"By the makeup shop," she smiled, "you know they like to steal."

"Yeah, but why did you go?"

"Oh, well, you know, the lock down. She was very eager to talk," Matoa replied.

She filled Ramion in.

"Whoa, so you were right!" he responded when Matoa had finished.

"Yep,"

Matoa smirked.

"We better get comfortable, we're going to be stuck in this house for a while," Ramion stated.

Matoa laughed, "Oh we're not staying."

She then left the room, snatching a few books along the way.

"What do you mean, 'we're not staying'?" Ramion yelled after her.

"You'll see," Matoa said.
