a/n: Lulu is not Penelope. Penelope is a character that Lulu plays and does not mean that Lulu has the same personality and characteristics as Penelope. Penelope is a character while Lulu is a person. Disliking Penelope is fine, but sending hate to Lulu for playing Penelope is not. in this household we support Lulu, no questions asked.

The fact that your girlfriend Lulu and your childhood best friend Kaylee kissed and shared an intimate moment on screen made your blood boil. You knew it didn't mean anything to them, but the rational side of your brain refused to work and the jealousy and anxiety bubbled up inside you like a shaken soda bottle waiting to be opened.

what if lulu realizes she likes kaylee and ditches me?

what if I'm not good enough for her and she leaves me for kaylee?

that kiss between them didn't mean anything, right?

The front door opened after what seemed to be an eternity and in stepped your girlfriend Lulu.

She looked around, confused at why the TV screen was paused at the scene where she kissed Kaylee when she noticed you laying flat on the couch staring at the ceiling with an emotionless look on your face

Quickly, she put two and two together and realized you were jealous of her and Kaylee's on-screen kiss.

You knew Lulu was home by the sound of keys clinking in her hand but didn't bother to get up and face her, since you were an emotional mess of thoughts.

She walked over to you and peered over the edge of the couch to look you in the eyes, her face full of concern and worry.

"What's wrong baby? Are you ok?"

"I saw the kiss."

"And what of it?"

You get right to the core of your fears and jealousy.

"If you think Kaylee's better for you I wouldn't argue with it."

A sob escapes your stoic expression, shattering any last positive thought of Lulu's.

"Baby you know it meant nothing to me. Kaylee and Danielle were okay with it, and so was I."

"But I wasn't."

That was all you managed to squeeze out between the tears streaming down your face at the thought of Lulu leaving you to be with Kaylee.

"I-I'm your girlfriend, I didn't know you would be doing this. Danielle was asked and she's Kaylee's fiancee, why wasn't I asked?"

Lulu walks over to you and starts rubbing your back comfortingly to calm you down a bit.

"But I'm here, aren't I?"

You sniffled a bit before switching the conversation back to your question.

"You didn't ask me. Why?"

Lulu looked conflicted for a moment and she lowered her head in shame of realizing what she did.

"I figured, well, since you're not a very jealous person and Kaylee's your best friend that you wouldn't mind it. Plus you know I love you, and only you."

"You're not going public about us but you kiss my childhood best friend on screen?"

"Well if you wanted us to go public all you needed to do was tell me."

"But I didn't want to pressure you into coming out.."

Her face shifted from worry to love at that, and she pulled you to look at her face-to-face.

"What made you think I wasn't ready to come out? I did the kiss on screen, people are already speculating I'm not straight."

The tears slowly stopped falling from your face as you realized what she meant by that.

"You're ready?"

"Ready as I'll ever be."

Your face shifted to one of happiness and relief at the thought of not hiding in the shadows anymore about your relationship with Lulu. All the press interview questions could finally be answered without switching the topic around to something else and all the fans shipping you two together would be ecstatic.

"I'm sorry bub, I knew the kiss meant nothing to you, my fears took over."

"That's ok. Sometimes you don't control your fears, your fears control you. And I should have asked you first before shooting the kiss."

"So, are we both good now?"

"Yes, but please ask me next time before putting a kiss in the scene you're in."

"Ok baby."

Before Lulu turned to her phone, you had one last thing to ask.

"Could I see that cute little turtle smile of yours?"

"Of course bub"

You look up and see your girlfriend smiling brightly at you, and your heart melted at the sight of it. At that moment all you could think of was how lucky you were to end up with the one and only Lulu Antariksa.
