"U-uh.. is it on right? I can't tell.. Touma? Touma?"
The girl with medium length chestnut brown hair turned to see her spikey black haired boyfriend staring down at his phone with a concerned expression.
Mikoto Misaka pouted. "You idiot! What are you doing on your phone!?"
"Oh.. er.. sorry.." said Touma. "Natsu just sent a text, Gajeel's losing his head again.. you know, premarital nerves.
Mikoto sighed. "He's not the only one, I've seen Levy getting real nervous too. I mean, it's natural right? To be nervous before you get married?"
Touma shrugged. "Can't say, never been married.."
"Hmmm.. anyways." said Mikoto. "Can you please tell me how I look?"
Touma and Mikoto were at a dress clothes shop in Magnolia, picking up a preorder Mikoto had requested. For some reason, the shop had difficulties obtaining the dress on time, meaning Mikoto was trying it on for the first time on the wedding day. A white bridesmaid dress that went down just past the thighs, not being too long so that the bridesmaids could move around easily.. it had a black bow tied around the waist, and it was strapless. Usually that would have made Mikoto's Fairy Tail guild mark visible, but she had switched the location of her guild insignia to her upper thigh recently, because she wanted to give it a try.
Touma was already in his groomsmen suit.. with a bowtie and a smooth looking suit. "Trust me Biribiri, you look spectacular in anything. But what I don't get is why you're nervous.. The wedding still isn't for about 2 hours, we've got time, and you absolutely aced the rehearsals."
"I guess the last time I went to a wedding it didn't end so well.." Mikoto muttered.
"Eh? What happened?"
"Remember my Great Aunt?"
"No offense.." said Touma. "But I am not sorry she died..she's the one who kept saying you were too skinny and your breasts were too small..right?"
"Don't be sorry, I'm not sorry either." said Mikoto. "Anyways, when Mom and Dad renewed their vows.. you remember that right? I begged you to come because I didn't want to deal with Great Aunt Kira on my own?"
"Yeah.." said Touma, scratching his chin. "Couldn't forget that.. she called Gramps (Markarov) an old coot, kept saying you could learn a thing or two from Mira about beauty, and called Lucy fat 10 times... then.. yeah.. I see.. didn't she throw a brick at your dad during the actual vows and tell him to get on with it so she could watch NCIS at six?"
Uh-huh.. that.. was the closest thing to a wedding I've ever been to.." Mikoto muttered.
"No way.." said Touma. "Really? That's kinda sad! Come on! Weddings are great! There's free food, dancing, and the newly weds put cake in each other's faces, which is hilarious.. plus.. yeah, there's cake!"
"You're only glad about the food because that means Index will be occupied for most of the time." said Mikoto with a smirk.
"Yeah.. well, I can't say that's not a plus." said Touma. "Come on.. nothing's going to go wrong, plus I don't think anybody in the wedding is crazy enough to bring a brick to a wedding.."
"This is Fairy Tail Touma..."
"Oh... well.. I don't think anybody would throw the brick then." said Touma. "It's going to be fine.. trust me.. I don't think ANYTHING is going to go wrong.. and that's ME talking...I don't even think my bad luck will strike today..
