Chapter 9

[Taehyung's POV]

Doctor: Yes, she has suffered head injuries at the back of her head. Her body's condition is now stable but what I fear most is her eyes. If her vision is not normal after waking up, I'm afraid that we have to give her a surgery.

I just nod to the doctor as response while staring at Naeun's face.

Taehyung: When will she be awake?

Doctor: This depends on herself.

I nod to the doctor again.

Naeun has already been like this for 1 day.

I missed her bright and beautiful eyes.

I missed her voice and her cute smile.

When are you going to wake up Naeun...?

Naeun: Taehyung...

The doctor was going to leave but he stopped after hearing her voice.

I immediately run towards to her with tears in my eyes.

There were no words to describe how happy I am right now.

Taehyung: Naeun...your awake. *I held her hand tightly* How are you feeling?

Naeun: Where are you Taehyung? *she reached her hands out*

Taehyung: I'm here Naeun.

Naeun: I can't see you... Why can't I see anything?! *she raises her shaking voice* Am I blind?!

Doctor: Yes, and you need to take surgery as fast as possible.

Naeun: Nono...Taehyung, please tell me this is not true.

I stayed silence, not knowing how to answer her.

My heart was clenching so hard inside me to see her like this.

Naeun: Say something! *she started to cry*

Taehyung: It's true...

She looked petrified after hearing what I said...

I'm sorry... Naeun.

You ended up like this all because of me.

It's all my fault.

Naeun: I need some time alone...

I hesitate a while and walked out the ward with the doctor.

[Naeun's POV]

This is all what I can see.

Darkness...

Darkness everywhere...

I just lied on the bed I'm in, probably dazing the ceiling.

How can I even live the rest of my life blind?!

Now I feel useless than pacifying people...

I carefully got down from bed and walked towards somewhere.

My hands were reached out in the darkness.

It wasn't long until I bumped into something.

Now I can't even WALK properly!

My mood now is full of depression and frustration.

After some series of bumping and knocking, I finally found a door.

I open it and walk through the door.

Was it the bathroom?
