Sophie could not stop grinning the entire day. It was her first day there and she  had managed to leave two of the best football players with their mouths hanging open. She smiled when she recalled the scene.

She had caught every ball that came anywhere near her with one hand. And passed it back expertly.

The bell rang and she headed inside.

Over her shoulder she threw, "Close your mouths boys, we wouldn't want flies in there, would we?" She smirked as she said it.

Aaaaaah. Sophie loved when she made an impression. She just hoped she would be enough for the coach. The rest of her classes passed by in a flurry. All she could think about anyways was football practice.

Finally, Sophie changed and got ready to go. She walked outside and her jaw dropped when she saw the football coach.

Unfortunately for her, Keefe walked by right then, and said, "Close your mouth Sophie, we wouldn't want flies in there, would we?"

Sophie was too stunned to reply anything. The only sound that came out of her mouth was, "Sandor?"

The muscled man turned around at the sound of his name. And his jaw dropped open too. "Sophie? Sophie! You're still playing football?"

"You actually thought I'd stop?", she cocked an eyebrow, "Thanks to you, I now love the sport and can't get enough of it. Ugh!"

"It's better than almost dying."

"Still super blunt, aren't you?"

"Still super sarcastic, aren't you?"

Sophie put a hand to her forhead. "Me? Sarcastic? I am offended you would even think that."

Sandor rolled his eyes. "Yep, still the same. Go get ready for tryouts will you?"

"Fineeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. But first,"Sophie ran over to him and gave him a huge hug, "I missed you."

"I missed you too, Miss Foster."

"Woah, woah, woah. Back the T-rex up. Sophie you're telling me you know Gigantor?"

"Well, yeah. He was my personal trainer. But I'd rather not talk about it. It's kind of  a sore subject. If you don't mind, Keefe"

"I mean I totally get you. Anytime spent with Gigantor is a sore subject." Keefe winked.

"God you kids are exasperating. And Mr. Sencen. What did we say about the nicknames?"

"That you love them!"

Sandor facepalmed,"Remind me why I took this job again?"

Sophie just laughed.

"That's my girl! Yes!" Sandor pumped his fist.

Keefe looked up from his bent over position with his hands on his knees, "Who knew Gigantor had emotions?"

Sophie looked at him triumphantly. "Who knew a girl could be the amazing Keefe Sencen? Twice."

"You just have to rain on my parade, don't you?"

"If I don't, then who will?"

"Doesn't change the fact that you called me amazing!" Keefe smirked at her.

Sophie winced. "I was hoping you wouldn't remember that."

"Have you met me, Foster?"

"Sadly, yes."

"Hey!"

Sophie laughed as Keefe ran after her. Guess her first day in school wasn't so bad after all.

"Team members will be posted next week. A meeting for the team members will be held that day to answer all questions and schedule practices. See you soon!"

Sophie walked across the field to get to the parking lot. She imagined her father would be waiting for her. She felt a buzz in her back pocket.

Dad

Sorry. Can't pick you up after practice. Think you can get home on your own?

Sophie sighed and sent back a quick text telling her dad not to worry. Then she looked up trying to find the general direction her house was in. God, how she hated her sense of direction. Though, how could she hate it when it was nonexistent?

She heard a car honk and looked up.

"Yo Foster! You need a ride?"

She grinned. "You don't mind? I have no idea how to get home."

"Who am I to refuse a damsel in distress?" He grinned cockily.

"An arrogant, egotistical, ugly person." She smiled sweetly.

He huffed. "Fine. Get home by yourself."

"No! Don't leave! Shit, I'm sorry! I was just joking!" A panicked look crossed her face.

"Glad to hear you say it. Now get in."

For the first time, Sophie took an actual look at his car. It was a Mercedes. A red one at that. His parents must be loaded. She wolf whistled.

"Not an ugly ride. Contrary to its driver."

"What do you have with bruising my manly pride?"

"How can I bruise it if it doesn't exist?"

"Not helping. You know what would help though? If I could get your ph- adress."

Sophie blushed. "Right. I'll just send it to you. Give me your number."

"Just so you know I am not looking for a relationship right now."

She smacked the side of his head. "Shut up and drive, doofus."

"I can't say no to how you asked now, can I?"

I just wanted to say a big thank you to @TurtlesSnakes for my first comment ever. It made my day.
