Dear,
DiaryToday is January first of the year 2011 and I'm finally 16 years old. Mother and Father are out working as usual and Jamie's over today, oh and let us not forget that Maxwell is off around here somewhere. So I guess it's not exactly the most lonely New Years/Birthday ever. I'll write again soon! Goodbye.
I close my medium sized notebook as Jamie stared at me with disbelief as she sat next to me on my bedroom floor with two large pillows in her lap, "What?" I question as my eyebrow raises while I stare at my friend. "Your absolutely insane Luci, how can you stop watching Easy A just to write in that journal of yours!!!" She exclaimed her big hazel eyes still expressing her incredulous state. I rolled my eyes only to feel the soft surface of a pillow whack me in my face, "Hey! What was that for!" I exclaimed looking at Jamie as she smirked, "Don't roll your eyes at me Lucielle Alice Cross unless you want another pillow flying your way." She replied as a challenge sparked in her eyes. I felt as my lips turned into a smile as my hand grabbed a few pieces of popcorn. I sent them flying before grabbing the bowl and scrambling to my feet, "Luci it is so on!" Jamie roared accepting my challenge as I darted out my bedroom and down the corridor Jamie not to far behind, I turned around and began to jog backwards as I sent more popcorn her way. She quickly grabbed whatever popcorn fell on the ground before chasing after me, a few of the kernels ending up in my dark almost black hair. I turned around and threw some more popcorn at Jamie before bumping into my older brother, "Max!!! Hold her still!!" Jamie shouted as she came running my way, my brother chuckled as he decided to team up against me as he blocked my path, "Max I so hate you." I glared playfully at him as he simply smiled, "Aww I love you too sis." As soon as he finished his sentence Jamie launched herself at me tickling me until I surrendered as Max joined in tickling my sides. I burst out into a fit of giggles begging them to stop in between my ragged breathing and laughter as Jamie and Max listed their conditions, "first you have to say Jamie and Max are the best in the world!" Jamie stated, "Then you have to treat us to pizza tonight!" Max added in as I continued to screech out in laughter and agreed with a nod as I spoke. "Ok ok, you both win, Jamie and Max are the best in the world, and I'll buy us pizza!" I shouted before they ceased tickling me with smirks on their faces. Max was no longer blocking my path so my smile returned as a devilish glint appeared in my eyes, "Not!" I shouted sticking out my small pink tongue and dropping the popcorn bowl before racing down the staircase and to the kitchen.
Jamie was my best friend for life and she was forever hanging out at my house, not that she and her family didn't get along because honestly they did, but she loved fighting with me and teaming up with Max like she was our long lost sister more than anything, although she surely didn't look like it seeming to be the polar opposite of us with her light sandy brown hair that almost seemed blonde and her bright hazelnut eyes. But her family and our family didn't mind. Max is only a few minutes older than me, yes he's my twin but still my older brother. He and I both had dark brown hair but striking blue eyes. He was tall like a large tower and he was quite muscular while I was a totally different subject.
As hit the last few steps of the other staircase I race around the black granite island counter and open yank open the chrome fridge as it's cool air made contact with my face and upper body. Grabbing the whipped cream and tearing the cap off as Max and Jamie appear in the kitchen panting with with the strands of their hair flying freely over their heads, I shout "Freeze!" and the two of them stop in their tracks as I smile at them, "Now now sis there's no need to bring out the big guns." He said with his hands raised and his clear water blue eyes wide. I couldn't help but giggle as I saw Jamie do the same but the only difference is that she closed her eyes and smiled waiting for my attack. I still pointed my weapon of whipped cream at the pair as I stroked my imaginary beard, "Well hmmm...maybe I can be nice enough to negotiate here." I say as a ghost of a smile tugged at my pink lips, "Or maybe I'm not as nice as you think." My eyes wander up to the ceiling as I play with them, "Oh come on Luci!!" Jamie pleaded playing along while opening a single eye as Max began to smile too, "Yeah sis! Spare us of the whipped cream!" I giggled before looking at them once more, "Ok but I have my conditions, one you both have to say, 'Luci is the bestest most wonderful person in the entire universe.' Two no more making fun of my journal! Three, you both have to buy the pizza and I choose what pizzas we get!" I say my face finally giving in to the smile, as mischief played out on my face. "Fine..." The two of them muttered in unison. I lowered the whipped cream and said, "And you both have to abide by those rules unless you want to be sprayed with whipped cream!" I say before spraying some into my mouth and skipping away knowing they would keep their word, unlike me!
