It was warm inside of the hide out. They were deep underground, walking through a white hall. Posters where hanging around everywhere, weird enough it felt safe. Ash and Serena where walking close to each other, hand in hand. There where doors everywhere. Probably bedrooms for the grunts.
'Hurry'
Serena stopped walking. Who was that? She looked around. No one to be seen except Ash and Pikachu.
'Time is running out'
Serena's face grew pale. Ash stared at her.
"Serena whats wrong?" He asked, unable to hide that he was worried.
The blondine looked at Ash amd grabbed his hand tighter. They had to hurry up! She started to run, pulling the raven haired boy with her. There where several stairs, oh how she disliked stairs.
"Not so fast!" Three voices yelled from behind.
Ash and Serena both turned around immediately. Two grunts and one admin where standing behind them, holding up pokéballs. The admin, being bald and wearing a white suit instead of a red one, threw the pokéball up in the air and catched it again.
"Not so fast hon," he smirked ", you ain't goin' nowhere gal."
Ash stepped up in front of Serena and spread his arms out protectivly. He gritted his teeth and glanced over to the figures which were standing behind Team Flare. Clemont and Bonnie!
"Don't worry Ash, we'll take care of them! Now hurry up! Go Luxray!" Clemont shouted while sending out his pokémon.
Ash smiled thankfully and grabbed Serena tightly so they could move on. They were running downstairs as fast as they could. The closer they where the colder it got. Serena was worried about Calem. Clemont and Bonnie went with him, but he didn't return with them. What if something happened with him? What if he failed? Maybe he gave up and ran away, or maybe he caught Xerneas and left them alone... Serena suddenly fell down in her knees. She felt so much pain right now. Her head... She grabbed her head and teared up. What the heck was this? This feeling was awful!
"Serena are you alright?! Whats happening to you?" Ash yelled as he helped his girlfriend stand up. He wrapped his arms around her and held her tight until she removed her hands from her head. He kissed her forehead softly, which caused the blonde to blush deeply.
"There there Serena. I'm here don't worry." Ash smiled at her.
Serena smiled back and looked away. "Do you think Calem is alright? What if he failed?" Her smile faded away again.
Ash stroked her cheek gently.
"Whatever he did there'll be hope. And if he failed I'll take his place. Nothing will happen I can assure you that." He comforted her.
He sounded so grown up, not like usual. Serena pecked his cheek quickly.
"Thanks." She whispered quietly.
Ash's cheeks turned red a little bit. They both started to run again.
"Please, don't hurt her I beg you!" Calem begged as he fell down on his knees.
He lost... He lost the battle versus Lysandre. The red haired man took Xerneas and put him into a tall machine. Its horns where glowing in anger, trying to free itself. He had so much... so... much... pain... Lysandre laughed and put his hands behind his back.
"Oh little boy, it'll hurt for a few seconds only... Maybe a little bit longer than you've experienced." Lysandre smirked and pointed at the Cocoon shaped in an Y.
