Pinn & Jiley double date!

A/N: So this is basically a double date with Pinn and Jiley. Not sure when it's set but Pinn is together!! How cute would this be??? 🥺🥺

Piper's POV
As I stood there in my bedroom staring at myself in the mirror, I was nervous. James had come up with the idea with a double date of Finn and I and Riley and himself. I was a bit skeptical at first but Finn convinced me we should do it. I don't know how, but he always manages to convince me into doing things I question. Whenever I'm with him, I feel like anything is possible. I'm not sure how tonight is going to go but knowing Finn will be there puts my mind at ease a little. I take one last look at myself in my mirror, I'm wearing a white tank top, denim jeans with a red belt and white shoes. My hair is half tied up in two braids and the rest flows freely around my shoulders. I grab my purse off of my desk chair and go downstairs. The doorbell rings. Perfect timing. "I'm off on my date with Finn now Mom! I'll see you later!" I yell out to her as I run to the door. "Okay, honey! Love you!" She replies. "Love you!" I say back as I open the door. "Awe, love you too Pipes." Finn says. I close the door and burst out in a fit of giggles. "What?" Finn says, a confused expression in his face. Which makes me laugh even harder. "Oh, nothing." I say. He smiles. "Why are you looking at me like that?" I ask, genuinely interested. "Oh, so I can't look at my own girlfriend?" He says. "No that's not what I meant! It's jus-" I try to explain but he cuts me off by cupping my cheeks and kissing me. I smile into it. "You look beautiful Pipes." He whispers. "Thank you, Finn." I say. I grab his hand. "Come on, lets go!" I say dragging him towards his car.

Finn's POV
Pipes and I are on the way to our double date with Riley and James. I'm kind of nervous, but also excited. I know James is protective of Pipes, but what siblings aren't? I can't help but think I'm underdressed. We're only going to a pizza place in town but Piper looks stunning and I'm here wearing jeans and a white shirt, that I found on my bedroom floor! We arrive at the restaurant and I park the car. "You ready?" She asks. "As ready as I'll ever be." I say. We look at each other, huge grins on our faces and burst into a fit of giggles. "Alright, we should probably go inside now." I say. We hop out of the car and I take her hand in mine. We walk into the restaurant and find James and Riley, sitting at a booth. They stand up and greet us, I hug Riley and James gives me a firm handshake. Pipes goes into the booth first and I start to follow but James cuts in and sits next to his sister. "JAMES!" Piper exclaims in annoyance. I smile. She's cute when she's annoyed. "What?" James asks. "MOVE!" Piper and Riley say in unison. "Okay, okay." He says in defeat. He gets up, out of the booth and glares at me. This was not off to a great start. I sit down next to Piper and smile at her. She sees and whispers, "What?" "You're cute when you're annoyed." I whisper back. She smiles back. I put my arm around her and she leans into me, resting her head on my shoulder. I kiss her forehead. I get a glare from James for doing this, Piper notices and says, "James, come on! This date is meant to be fun, so I would appreciate if you could stop death staring at Finn." I nervously smile. James nods. "Does everyone know what they're getting?" Riley asks, breaking the silence. "Ah, yeah, we should probably look at the menu." I say. I grab the menu and look at Piper, we smile at each other and say, "PEPPERONI!" "Awe, you two are the cutest!" Riley says. James grunts, continuing to look at the menu. "I'm going to get some fresh air." James says, getting out of the booth and walking outside. "Is he okay?" I ask Pipes. She sits up. "Yeah, he just doesn't like seeing me with a boy." She says. "I'm so sorry about him guys." Riley says. "It's okay Riles. It's not you being the sourpuss." Piper says. "Maybe it would help if I went and talked to him?" I ask. "Finn, I don't think that's a very good idea." Piper says. "I agree with Piper." Riley adds. "But I want us all to have a good night, so maybe if I clear the air with James, we can." I say, smiling. Piper smiles. "Whatever you thinks best babe." She says kissing my cheek. I get up out of the booth and go talk to James.

Piper's POV
As Finn walks out to go talk to James I turn to Riley, "What James' deal? Why doesn't he like seeing me with Finn? He was the one who invited us on this date." I say. "You know what he's like Piper. He's overprotective. He worries about you. He doesn't want Finn to hurt you." She says. "But he won't." I protest. "You know that. I know that. But I think he's starting to realise you're not a little kid anymore, you're growing up and now you have Finn, he thinks you won't need him anymore." She says. "I will always need him! He's my older brother." I say truthfully. "Don't tell me, tell him." She says, motioning outside the pizza shop. We laugh. I lean over the table and hug her. "Thanks Riles." I say. "No problem! You're basically my sister! I love you!" She says. I smile and say, "I love you too!" "Speaking of love, have you and Finn said the L word yet?" She asks, a smirk spreading across her face. "Real smooth." I say laughing. "Don't tell James, but yeah we have." I admit. "OMG, Piper! You two are in-love!" She squeals. We get looks from the other customers but not annoyed ones, which I'm thankful for. "Riley!" I hiss. She giggles. "Sorry!" She replies. We chat about everything. The studio, school, Finn. I wonder how Finn is doing, whether he's gotten through to James yet.

Finn's POV
I walk outside to see James sitting on the bumper of his car, hands in his pockets, looking at the floor. "James.." I start, he looks up. "What do you want?" He snaps. "I just want to talk." I say. "About?" He asks. "Piper." I start, this time he doesn't interrupt, "You really upset her back in there." I say, motioning to the restaurant. Silence. "I just have to ask, what's your problem? Do you not like me or something? Or not approve of us dating?" I ask. "No... no, it's not that... in all honesty, you and Pipes are a great fit. She's always happiest when she's with you." He says. "Then what's the problem?" I ask. "It's just... now that Piper has you, I feel like she won't need me anymore." He says. I didn't think James would open up to me but he just did. "She'll always need you James, you're her big brother." I say, trying my best to comfort him. He looks up and smiles at me. "Thanks Finn, that was actually really comforting." He says. We do a bro shake, but he keeps me in his grasp and whispers, "We may be bros now but if you hurt Piper, you're dead." I gulp and simply nod. He laughs at my uneasiness. "Let's get back to the girls." He says, he grabs my shoulder and leads me back into the pizza shop.

Piper's POV
Finn and James walk back into the shop. James is smiling but Finn looks like he's seen a ghost. They sit back at the booth and I whisper to Finn, "You okay babe?" "Yeah, I'm better now I'm with you." He says grabbing be by my waist and pulling me into him. "That's so cheesy." I say, smiling up at him. "You know you love me." He says, smiling. "I do." I reply. We order the pizzas, Finn and I share a large pepperoni pizza, James get a meat lovers pizza and Riley gets a vegetarian one. The rest of the night was amazing. After we finished the pizza's, we stayed and chatted for a while. I was starting to get tired and Finn noticed. "You wanna go?" Finn whispers in my ear. "Yes please." I whisper back. "Well, we should probably get going now. We've got rehearsal tomorrow afternoon and don't want to be tired." James and Riley nod in agreement. We say our goodbyes, James holds me in his embrace longer and whispers in my ear, "I'm sorry about earlier Pipes, I didn't mean to upset you." "It's okay James, don't even worry about it." I say, he pulls away and says, "Hey, that's my line." A grin spreads across my face. We laugh. I grab Finn's hand and we wave goodbye to Riley and James. We get in his car and he drives me to my house. Finn grabs my hand, with one still on the steering wheel. "FINN! Two hands on the wheel please!" I say, he just laughs and a giggle escapes my lips. We sit in silence but it's a comfortable silence. We pull up to my house and sit there for a while. "Tonight was great, minus the whole James thing." I say. He says, "Yeah, it was." "Thank you Finn." I say. "For what?" He asks. "For everything," I turn to him, "For being my boyfriend, for talking to James tonight, for loving me. Do I need to go on?" I finish. "Yes." He says cheekily. "Finn!" I whine, he turns to me and smiles, "I'm just kidding Pipes, you're the girl of my dreams and I'd do anything for you." He says sweetly. "I love you." I say. "I love you too." He says. I lean across the centre console of the car and kiss him passionately, he kisses back. We eventually pull away, breathless. "Later Finn!" I say, opening the door but Finn grabs my wrist and pulls me back to him. He crashes his lips onto mine. He pulls away and says. "See ya later Pipes. I love you." "Love you too Finn" I say.
