pinn at a party

disclaimer: this is literal trash and I hate this so much.... anyway....
A/N: so this is set after a-troupe go to nationals (instead of Dancemania) and it's kind of like the celebration party they had at the start of s2 & 4 also Pinn did a duet and one their category! ✨✨

Piper's POV
I'm helping Nick decorate studio A for the party later, along with Richelle, we may be small but we are mighty. So far, we've hung a huge welcoming sign, along with some streamers and balloons around the studio. We placed signs all around the building, with directions to studio A (as per Henry's request). I'm just finishing hanging the last streamer up across Nick's office, but I'm too short, so I grab a the seat behind me and put it in position. I step onto it, but I'm still too short. I stand on my tippy toes and reach as high as I can, but I lose my balance, I brace myself to fall and hit the ground but instead I fall into someone's arms. Finn. "Hey, Pipes, you shouldn't be doing that." He says placing me on the ground. I smile gratefully up at him and say, "Thank you Finn." "You're welcome but here, let me do it." He replies. I nod and hand him the streamer, he hangs it up effortlessly. (A/N: okay, so in reality Piper isn't THAT short but just go with it) I stand up on the bench and make sure it's in the correct place, I turn towards him and nod. "Nice job." I say. "Why thank you." He replies. With me standing on the bench we're the same height, he pulls me towards him, wrapping his arms around my waist. He leans in and I smile into the kiss, I place my hands around his neck, kissing him back passionately. We stay like that for awhile, exchanging kisses, only pulling away to take short breaths, until Richelle walks in. "Hey, Piper, I was wondering if yo- uh... sorry." She says, slowing down with every word, realising what me and Finn were doing. She turns around to leave but I jump down and say, "Wait Richelle! You don't have to go, Finn and I were just..." "You don't have to explain yourself to me but I was just wondering if you had finished hanging the streamers and clearly you have so... good job." She says. I just nod, unsure of what to say. This was weird. She goes to walk away but turns back around. "Oh, and everyone should be arriving in 15-20 minutes, so make sure you two aren't... you know." Richelle says, making my cheeks burn with embarrassment. She leaves studio A and I turn around to Finn. We both start giggling at what just happened. After we suppress our giggles we make sure everything is in its place and ready for everyone. After five or so minutes people start arriving.

Finn's POV
This party is exactly what the team needs to celebrate our nationals win. J-troupe, B-troupe and A-troupe are all here, as well as some newcomers, so the vibes are ✨immaculate ✨. Pipes has been stressing over this party the last two days, making sure everything is perfect. Eldon offered his DJ-ing services and she was reluctant at first but I convinced her to agree to let him play. The party was alright but it could be better. Piper was talking to a few of the b-troupers, I catch her eye and I can tell she's thinking the same. I have to get this party officially started. So I do the first thing I think of, pull Piper onto the dance floor with me. I walk over to where Piper was standing, grabbing her free hand, and taking her drink from the other, spinning around her and placing it in the table behin. She smiles at me, knowing what I'm going to do. I pull her onto the the floor and we start to dance, Eldon noticed and put on the iconic TNS song, 'Stand Up'. A chorus of aaaa's and ohhhh's run through the studio and after a minute or two of Piper and I showing our moves, Henry and Kingston walk to the floor and motion for us to stand back. We stand back and they do this new flip combo I've never seen. "Yo, you're teaching me that!" I say to them. Henry points at me and they both nod. They start doing some choreography and everyone claps. Different dancers all take turns on showing their moves.

Piper's POV
This party wasn't going as planned until Finn stepped up and got everyone dancing. All the boys are now doing trick-offs and seeing who can do the highest backflip. The crowd disperses, with everyone still dancing on the spot as they all continue talking and I pull Finn aside. "What's up Pipes?" He asks, smiling. "I just wanted to say thanks," I reply. He looks confused so I add, "you know, for getting everyone to have a good time? No one was having a good time before you started dancing." "One, they we're having a good time but now they're having a great time and two, don't even worry about it!" He replies, finishing with a smile. "Hey, that's my line!" I say. "Actually that's James' line." He  replies. "How'd you know James says that?" I ask, slightly confused since they've never hung out before. "Oh, well I forgot tell you but we went to the arcade on Friday night." He replies, smiling at the memory. "Oh..." I say, trailing off, unsure of why he didn't tell me this and James for that fact. Finn must've noticed I was confused and explains, "Well I was going to ask you to come but then I heard you, Amy and Lily talking about a girls night in rehearsal and all the other boys were going to Fundertown with Kingston, instead of Richelle this time, so I asked James and he said sure because Riley was out with Emily and Michelle, so we were both free." I just stand there smiling, I love that Finn and James are hanging out, they're two of the most important people in my life and to know there becoming fast friends makes me super happy. "Pipes? What wrong? You're not saying anything." Finn asks, giving me a concerned look, pulling me out of my thought. "Oh no, nothing's wrong! I just think it's great how you and James are getting closer, but you better not start coming over to my house to hang out with James and not me." I reply, serious about the last part. "Yo Finn!" Henry yells out, waving him over to the bros. Finn turns back to me and says, "I'm afraid it's too late, Pipes!" He says, smiling. "Oh, really?" I reply, trying to hide my smile. "I gotta go now," he says, turning to where the bros were, "catch ya later?" "Yep, come find me for a dance!" I reply. "Sure thing." He says, before winking at me and walking towards the bros.
