Hotel Dystopia

A/N: so this is set after s7 ep16?? Because they never showed Pinn's Hotel Dystopia date!! 😤 So I wrote what I thought would've happened. Enjoy!

Finn's POV
I was nervous. Really nervous. I'm normally a chill guy, but this date with Piper was really stressing me out. I don't why. It's just Piper. We've gone out together hundreds of times but this time it's a date. Like a date date. If I was stressed, I can't imagine what Piper's feeling.

Piper's POV
"Breathe Piper, just breathe." James says. I slide down my bedroom wall and James sits beside me. My breathing starts to slow. "I- I can't d-do it." I say in between breaths. "Yes you can Pipes, it's just Finn. You've gone out together plenty of times before." James says, trying to comfort me. "B-but this time it's date." I stutter. "Piper, you just have to be confident." James says. "Easy for you to say, you're the most confident person I know. I don't even think you've been nervous in your life." I say. James' expression softens. "Actually, I do get nervous. Before I got out on stage at dance competition, when Eldon did his internationals solo, when shawarma place said they might be evicted, do I have to go on?" He says. I'm shocked my 'don't even worry about brother' got nervous. "How did you get by?" I ask, genuinely wanting an answer. "Don't even worry about it." He says, cracking a smile. He pulls me into his side and we start giggling at his comment. "Better?" He asks. "Better." I say. He stands up, grabs my hands and pulls me up. "Now get ready, we're leaving in 10 minutes!" He says. I whine but get ready nonetheless. I walk downstairs. James smiles and says, "You ready?" "Don't even worry about it!" I say, a huge grin spreading across my face. "That's the attitude Pipes!" He says smiling. We go outside and hop in his car, Finn had offered to pick me up but I told him James would, as I thought it might be awkward. We pull up outside the movies. "Thank you James!" I say smiling. "No problem, do you need me to walk you in?" He asks. "No, I'll be okay. I'll text you when I'm ready to be picked up." I reply. "Sounds good." He says, nodding in agreement. I open up the car door and step out, a cold breeze hits my face. I walk up to the front of the movie theatre, the butterflies in my stomach flutter around when I see Finn standing by the entrance. He's actually on time for once. He smiles at me.

(A/N: Piper and Finn wear what they wore on the next steep quadruple date in ep 19 in think)

Finn's POV
After standing outside the movie theatre for 5 minutes, I see Piper walking towards me. She looks stunning. "Wow, Finn, is this like the first time you've been on time?" She says smiling. "I don't want to be late for our first date." I reply with, we burst out into a fit of giggles. I don't know why I was so nervous. It was Piper, we always had a good time together. "Shall we my lady." I say, offering her my arm. She accepts. "We shall." She says, giggling as we walk into the theatre. We got popcorn, iced teas and skittles (Piper's favourite). We collected our tickets and made our way to the cinema. We made it to our seats, "Look at this Pipes! 10 rows from the front and dead centre!" I say excitingly. "The best seats in the house!" She says smiling. We sit down and I start eating the snacks. "Finn," she says giving me a disapproving look, "If you eat the snacks, you won't have any left to eat during the movie." She finishes. "But Pipes, if I eat them now I-" she cuts me off and says, "You won't get distracted in the movie. I know, I know. Forget I asked." She says. I smile. "What?" She asks. "You know me too well." I respond. She smiles. "Oh, look the trailers are starting!" She says. "Piper, we've been over this. The trailers are shown at the end of the mov-" She presses her index finger against my lips, to stop me from talking. "I know, I know, that the trailers are after the movie." She says, trying to sound mad but really she's not. I smile. Everything was perfect. Piper, me, the studio. The whole situation with Amy was messy but everything was perfect now.

Piper's POV
We're 10 minutes into the movie when I reach for some popcorn in the bucket, in between Finn and I, but realise there's none left. I turn to him with a disapproving look. "Sorry Pipes, I haven't eaten since lunch." He whispers. "It's okay, I'll just eat my skittles." I reply, I couldn't go get more popcorn, we're finally gonna find out what happened to the concierge! I grab my skittles out of my purse and open the packet. Red was my favourite, I eat all the skittles except for the orange ones, they're disgusting but Finn loves them. I hand him the packet of orange skittles and he takes them, fully understanding why I hadn't eaten them.
*30 minute time skip*
We're about half way through the movie when Finn fake yawns and puts his arm around me. I turn to him and whisper, "smooth." He smiles back. I lean my head against his shoulder, we stay like that for the rest of the movie.

Finn's POV
The lights turn on and and the credits roll. Piper sits up excitedly and says, "I can't believe the concierge was kidnapped by the maid! What a plot twist!" I smile and say letter-of-factly, "I always new Maria was up to no good!" We sit back in our seats in shock, 3 movies and it had ended like that. "Do you wanna get frozen yogurt?" I turn to her and ask. She turns to me and says, "Is that even a question?" I smile and she giggles. "Let's go!" I say. We stand up out of our seats and make our way out of the cinema. We throw our rubbish away and head to the frozen yogurt place. As we're walking I interlock my hand with Piper's, expecting her to pull away but she doesn't she just squeezes it. I look down at her and she's smiling. We enter the frozen yogurt place. "The usual?" I turn to Piper and ask. "Yes please. I'll go grab a table while you get them." She replies. I walk further into the store and grab two cups, I fill Pipers cup first with her favourite flavour, 'Wild Berry'. Then I fill my cup with salted caramel. I head to the toppings and get chocolate chips and gummy worms. I then pour some crushed up peanuts on top of Piper's yogurt. I head to the counter and pay for the yogurts. "Hey Jack!" I say, "Hey Finn!" He replies. Piper and I come here so often I've gotten to know the staff that work there. Jack was around my age, so he was always up for a chat. "Here with Piper again?" He says, a smirk across his face. "Yeah." I say blushing. "You're blushing dude! What's happened?" He says. "Well... we're kind of on our first date." I reply. "What?! I thought your were dating Amy?!" He says, in disbelief. "Shhhh, keep your voice down!" I hiss, "And yeah, I was dating Amy but that's a whole other story." I continue. He nods understandingly and puts the order through. I pay. "Thanks for the frozen yogurts! See ya later Jack!" I say, grabbing the frozen yogurts off of the counter. "See ya, Finn!" He says. I walk over to Piper sitting at our usual table.

Piper's POV
I take a seat a our usual table. My phone buzzes, so I take it out of my purse. It's a text from Amy.
*Amy and Piper's conversation*
A: Heyyyyy Piperrrrrr
P: Hey Amy! What's up?
A: AHA! THAT WAS A TEST!! YOU'RE MEANT TO BE ON YOUR DATE WITH FINN!
P: I'm just waiting for him to get frozen yogurt
A: Oh, okay then. Well don't let me interrupt your date! 😽😽
P: Amy, you're not interrupting though!
A: YES I AM! NOW GOODBYE!!
P: Amyyyyyyy
A: No. I will not ruin your date! I refuse to!
P: You're not! You're the reason why Finn and I are allowed to go on a date!! Thank u btw!
A: Awwww, ily!
P: I love you too!!
A: Now, GET OFF YOU'RE PHONE AND TALK TO FINNNNNN!!!
P: Okay, okay! I'll see you tomorrow!
A: Byeeeee!!
I turn my phone off and see that Finn has our frozen yogurts. He reaches the table and says, "One Wild Berry with crushed up peanuts." And places the cup in front of me. "Thank youuuu!!" I reply. We eat our frozen yogurt in silence, but it's not awkward like I thought it would be. Finn finishes his frozen yogurt and asks, "Do you need a ride home Pipes?" "Umm, sure! I'll just tell James." I reply. I take out my phone and text James.
*Piper and James's conversation*
P: Hey James, Finn's going to bring me home x
J: You sure? Thought you said it would be awkward?
P: Don't even worry about it! 😉
J: Ahaha! Okay, will see you when you get home!
"All good!" I say, looking up at Finn and I continue to eat my frozen yogurt. Once I finish, we put our cups in the bin and make our way to his car. Our hands interlock, I smile. We hop in his car and start to drive home, we sit in a comfortable silence, the radio playing faintly in the background. I watch as we drive pass houses and buildings, the street lights are a blur. I then realise we turn into my street. I hop out of the car and Finn walks me to the front door. I turn to him and say, "Thank you for tonight Finn, it was perfect." He grabs my hands and says, "Thank you too, and you're welcome." He smiles which makes me smile. We stare into each other's eyes for what seems like forever, we start to lean in when the door swings open. James. "JAMES! Are you serious? Please go back inside." I say. "But Pi-" I cut him off by closing the door. Finn laughs and starts, "Now where wer-" I cut him off by leaning up to kiss him. His arms wrap around my waist and pulls me closer to him. We kiss for a while and eventually pull away breathless. I pull him into a hug, squeezing him tight. He pulls me up off the ground and squeezes back. We pull away and I say, "I'll see you tomorrow Finn." "See ya tomorrow Pipes." He replies and walks back to his car and drives off. I lean against the front door and smile. Everything was perfect.
