January 20, 2015 is the day you asked me out.
Flashback
Luke called me. It was a boring Sunday afternoon and you asked if I wanted to hang out. I wasn't going to pass up an opportunity to see you.
I threw on my shoes and grabbed my coat before leaving for your support place. The walk was about 15 minuets but I didn't mind. I like the peace and quiet that the walk gave me. It allowed me time to think through things.
I reached up and knocked on your door. Calum answered. I knew Calum well enough and he knew me.
"Hey Delia. Luke is in the basement."
"Thanks Cal."
I took my shoes and coat off and headed down to the basement. I could hear Blink-182 playing. I liked Blink. They weren't my favorite but I liked them.
"Hey Luke." I said as I approached him.
"Hey." He said smiling up at me. He had the most beautiful smile. When he smiled you wanted to smile too. "Do you want to go for a walk?"
"Sure."
We walked around for a few minuets in silence before he spoke.
"Delia, can I tell you something?"
"Of course what is it?"
He took a deep breath. "Well, I've been thinking. This is going to sound crazy." He paused for a moment. "I know we only met like 20 days ago but I really like you. Maybe I'm crazy for asking but, would you like to go in a date sometime? We can just see how things turn out." I had been waiting so long for that question.
Flashback ends
Of course I said yes. I would have been crazy not to. I didn't plan on falling in love with you. I didn't want to fall in love. With love comes heartbreak.
You proved that statement correct.
