Chapter No 13

"I really like her. She is so simple and innocent. I want to propose her"

His mind was clouded by his earlier conversation with Junaid

"I know Wali she is your step sister and you may find it odd but I just can't help it"

His hands now curled into fists as he struggled to inhale some air. Feeling suffocated he came to the balcony attached to his room

He was unable to comprehend why he was feeling this way. It is right he never considered Meerab as his sister but to the rest of the world they were siblings to each other. He was unable to bear this excruciating pain rising in his chest

"Control yourself Wali. This is bound to happen someday. She cannot live here forever. She has to marry someone then why not Junaid. He can be a perfect life partner for her"

He gripped the railing tightly staring upward at the starry sky. His vision fogging by the water accumulating in his eyes

"Why can't I take my mind off of her?"

The night she was sleeping in his room flashed in his head. How he studied her like she was his to be owned

"Because you love her" his heart screamed and a bit shocked at the revelation he shook his head

"N-No .. I … I don't love … love her …" he don't want to believe what his heart was telling him, there was a war going on between his mind and heart

"I want to marry her and with your approval only I can proceed confessing it to her"

Junaid's words resonated in his head. His friend relied on him for every hope. In a moment he reached a decision.. The most difficult decision of his life

"If it is love then I want to see her smile, I want to see her happy" his heart was bleeding, he slammed his fists on the railing "I can do anything for her happiness. If I've to bury my love for her then be it. Ya Allah please give me strength to accept all this with my heart"

He didn't realize it till now when Meerab took over his heart and now the mere thought of just imagining her with somebody else was paining him. He rubbed the back of his hand to his eyes mercilessly to wipe off his tears

"Meerab I'll bring happiness to your life and Junaid is the right partner for you" More just streamed down his eyes as he closed his eyes in pain

"Ya Allah give me patience and courage to bear all this" 

It is always difficult to see your love with someone else and he know one thing that he has to give his love to another person because Meerab and his destinies are pole aparts which can never meet the other one

It was almost midnight when he has to wake up due to the loud banging on the door

"WALI .. WALI .. MAA …" as soon her voice hit his ears he was out of the bed and opened the door

"Meerab .. what happened?" He got worried seeing her all crying

"Maa .. She was talking to me b… but sud-suddenly her breath-ing b-become sh-shallow and she .. come with me .." incoherently she completed as it sink in he ran towards the hall where Sara was passed out on the couch

"MOM" he instantly reached her and checked his pulse which was dangerously low. Taking her in his arms he rushed out ushering Meerab to follow her
